Luckily we brought bottled waters because the room didn't come with any. The bathroom was spacious with enough room for two people to get ready. There was shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in dispensers in the shower, as well as one small bar of soap and one makeup wipe at the sink. Onsite there's a Starbucks (closes at 5pm), Jersey Mike's (closes at 9pm), and a pizza place (closes at 10pm). We got food from Jersey Mike's and brought it back to the room to enjoy while watching TV and relaxing. The beds were super comfy, the atmosphere was quiet and peaceful. Early morning checkout was a breeze and the airport shuttle was already there loading up passengers. The ride was quick to our terminal! All in all we enjoyed our stay and we would definitely stay here again.

I don't really feel comfortable walking in wet swim trunks through that maze. Also the keycard they gave me didn't actually work. So had to walk back. Then a different front desk person said actually you have to go to the front desk at Hyatt Place and request a keycard from them. Whomever at corporate thought they should list this property as having a pool should be fired.

We used to leave our car at the Sheraton, but due to a lack of shuttle availability, we missed a flight. So, we moved on to the Hilton. We purchase our parking ahead of time, so that we are able to scan in and out with ease. The parking lot is pretty deep underground. It's about 6 levels down and even though they have a lot of parking, it is still difficult to find a parking spot. It is not uncommon to find cars parked against the wall, making their own parking spots. It's pretty wild down there! Some of the EV chargers don't work, so a lot of gas cars park there when needed. Parking is tight and it can be very difficult to find a parking spot. If you have an oversized vehicle, they might valet park it for you. Once you park your car, you can head up to the main level to use the restroom before heading off to the airport. Shuttles are waiting outside and you just need to queue up and wait to board. At busier times, they have multiple shuttles running. We feel confident in their abilities to get us to the airport on time. The parking lot is wild, but at least you have a place to secure your vehicle while you travel. I do take pictures and video with the timestamp to show the condition of my vehicle when I drop it off. I don't know how well their security cameras work, bur given how tight their parking lot is, I make sure that I document the condition of my car, just in case something happens while we are gone. Other than that, I'd say that this place is ok.

What really cheesed me off was the sign at the entrance to the underground parking garage announcing the overnight self-parking rate of $67.50!!! At that price I expected gold-plated parking but no, we had to circle down through the very low ceiling and aisles (driving my in-laws' big Dodge Caravan) before we finally found an open slot (fortunately not too far from the elevators since all the handicap slots were full) on level 5. We would have been much better off parking at the nearby LAX economy parking garages with higher ceilings, wide aisles, better rates (though still VERY pricey), and, most importantly, open slot tallies on each floor and a red / green light above each slot. The path to reception at the lobby level exit from the garage elevators was not clearly marked. (We had to check in since I couldn't get the Hilton Honors app to give me a digital key.) The desk clerk directed us to the room elevators and told me to enter '13' to get to our room's floor. What he didn't explain is that we needed to enter '13' on the keypad OUTSIDE the elevators. Fortunately, we had time to figure it out, so I hopped out after another couple on floor 12, entered '13' on the keypad, and hopped back on the elevator to ride up one more floor. The next morning (a little after 5am), we returned to the front desk to pay for parking - which totaled over $72 (tax or extra hours??) - and then reversed our slow spiral up to ground level. Next time I fly home out of LAX, I'll either take a Lyft from the in-laws' house or book a later morning flight so I can take the LA Metro - by far the best - and least expensive - way to cross LA County!

Also, every room should be checked if the tv works or not for guests. More inconveniences especially calling front desk and having to wait so long for them to pick up. They're not even busy. Maybe just busy staring at people looking like they're assisting guests including me and there were no welcome greetings to guests when entering the lobby. That was already a fail in its own. For a place of pricey hospitality, that is so expected. None of that whatsoever. I went downstairs to lobby to pick up my food myself when the delivery dude wanted to deliver to my room but front desk forbid him. Automatic epic fail with front desk customer service on that and other issues. As well as the water bottles of Voss be new ones daily and not already used ones still sitting there for the next guests like me to be appalled to. Overall, the experience here was wack. :( That they should compensate back somehow. My stars is only 1.5 for here. Do better and be better, management here. Y'all are not even cheap price here to be ghetto service here. Y'all need to not be like all the things I had to mention. Guests like me definitely expect better from y'all. We are so impressively detailed, attentive, and genuinely caring from the moment of greeting them asap they are about to enter the front doors, to assisting them the whole time, and to them leaving and not wanting to leave being so attached to us. Every time. We don't miss a beat when it comes to our guests. My own guests are always always leaving Yelp comments as: "Loooooooove this place!" And "Excellent service and a fun atmosphere! Customer Services were amazing - attentive but not intrusive and they seemed genuinely pleased that we were enjoying..". And "I love this place! Amazing and the people who work there are so nice and sweet every time! The place is so welcoming and has pretty decor and I'm in love.." And "The staff was very friendly and helpful and ensured we were ok." And "Customer Service was warm, attentive, and quick, which made the whole experience even better." We opted to resort pass another hotel for more fun vibes, but had we stayed we would have made it work. I like the coffee bar in the morning and zen and tonic in the evening. We really weren't in the hotel a whole lot. There is a gift shop in the hotel and the food/drink was much more affordable than at the little kiosk by the front desk (pro-tip) I did have an odd situation with the front desk when re-checking in for our personal stay and they were quite rude, and not fully informed. Other than interaction there are fun things like the Top Golf swing suite and Daily Grill restaurant. I would stay here again.

Oh and something was up with our door handle making it tough to close the door properly but we eventually figured it out. The pool is on the 3rd floor, so gives partial rooftop feel. Very private, cozy space. Adjacent is the fitness room as well, which had good amount of machines and weights. Solid hotel, super convenient location, accommodating and friendly staff.

While this won't change anytime soon, I am horrified and disgusted by this terrible Marriott and advise people to reconsider staying here. During my mom's cancer battle, I was tasked with transporting my family who do not speak English from LA to North Carolina for her final days. One time, there was a miscommunication during booking that was easily fixable. Despite my family's loyalty to not just the brand but this location, the callous night manager was aggressively mean. During the darkest time of my family's life, Marriott chose to add to our hardships rather than provide a quiet respite from it all. Marriott won't suffer consequences. This location won't suffer consequences. Heck, I bet that night manager won't suffer any consequences. But my story still needs to be shared. To the terrible excuse for a human being night manager: I hope it made you feel just a little bit better to make my family's life that much harder during its darkest moments.
