My wife and I went here over the weekend for here college reunion. The function space used to be…read morethe old Trio and for the amount of people (~100), it was cramped. Both rooms were difficult to navigate with everyone so close to one another and it was hard to walk past the bars because there were large waste bins on the ends and people would collect there to throw their bottles away. The event had a 4-hour open bar with only one bartender per bar. From what my wife and I could tell, the two bartenders were the only employees there. This proved to be a major problem because if the bartender needed something that wasn't stocked at their station or had to walk the space to clear tables, they would have to leave the bar completely unmanned. There were a lot of times that patrons would get behind the bar and take bottles from the shelves and when the bartenders came back, they'd pretty much shrug it off and continue to serve. One bar was for beer and wine, the other for cocktails. The cocktail line was always busy and the bartender couldn't keep up with demand, typically not remembering who had ordered first. From what I was told by other patrons, the drinks were quite weak. I stuck to hard cider and beer solely because the line was faster. But every time I wanted a Guinness, the bartender would leave the bar to go and get it from somewhere else. Luckily the event was only four hours long and my wife and I didn't stay through the whole thing. What's so concerning is that the management didn't think to staff properly and created a liability for themselves.

All the food provided and cooked by All-star Chef Octavio Gomes was fantastic. I worked with Octavio for some time at the Venus de Milo so I know his work is nothing but the best! Hall is very spacious and we were able to bring in a good capacity of people even within the midst of COVID restrictions. The lights and decorations in the hall definitely set the tone of a nice ballroom wedding. All the staff was absolutely professional, friendly and helpful. No complaints and no regrets booking here. 5 STARS!

For Yelp, you save your milestone review for important events, important dining experiences, etc. For my milestone review, I'm reviewing the Lebaron Hills Country Club. My BFF and her fiance tied the knot this past weekend in Massachusetts. The reception dinner was held at the Lebaron Hills CC. The Country Club boast a nice links style golf course that was the perfect backdrop to a Lakeville sunset. We took some great pictures with the sunset and golf course in the background. The course itself is a private course so a person like me would not have been able to play on it anyways. It looked nice from afar though. The clubhouse was nice, clean and very bright. The starter didn't mind us looking around inside Lebaron's golf shop and even hooked us up with some free ball markers from his own stash (not from the shop, don't get it twisted). I did purchase a hat clip with the Lebaron logo ball marker for use here in Cali! Now for the reception itself, it was marvelous. The food (I had the steak) was really good. The steak was a bit too cooked but I'm sure that's the norm for a reception, they're not looking to take orders and cook any rare steaks for anyone. The hors d'oeuvre were good too (crab cakes, scalloped wrapped in bacon and some beef skewers). Open bar for beer and wine. Outside the building in the back. There's a beautiful view with a tree and a waterfall, but the water is quite loud (as in, the ceremony would have to be mic'd) and the space really isn't suited for a large group. Reception: The main hall is a gorgeous Civil War-era building that used to be a factory. It has the original wood flooring, high ceilings painted white, and decorated with wonderful antique rowing items. However, the rest of the space is decorated like a grandmother's living room. It's kitchy, and not in that good way. Fake flowers, bad carpets, and stuffy antique furniture. It's too bad, because if the space was decorated more cleanly, I think it would be much more appealing. Overall: We just didn't like the overall feel of the place. It would possibly be better for a smaller wedding where the couple's tastes matched up more with the space.

Mary, my wedding coordinator, really took to heart my one request. I told her I would rather have an imperfect detail here or there than be overstressed. Mary not only managed the timing and execution of a flawless wedding, but she was a relaxed, positive, and excited presence throughout the planning process. At the wedding, I just kept being told in whispered tones the same thing: "This is the nicest wedding I've ever attended!". I've personally attended several weddings of close friends lately, and I know for a fact we spent significantly less for an exponentially more upscale event. Coming through the entrance there's a door on the right that leads to a private party room that you could probably mistake for a coat closet if you don't open the door, as on the left there's a stairwell that goes downstairs to the actual bar. I ended up getting the Maybay breeze, which is basically Malibu rum and a bunch of other juice mixes. The scary part is you can't seem to taste the alcohol but after a few drinks you definitely know there's some there. The prices of drinks are reasonable! Only $6 for a 12 oz cup! What a steal! This definitely seems like a amazing place to spend the weekend and meet a few locals!
