I teetered between 3 and 4 stars, and landed on 3, and that's comfortable. We purchased a new build from Meritage in 2022 within the Skyridge community which is a single family and townhome community just north of downtown Nashville. Sales process was fairly easy, as was the financing part. We kept it all in house due to the financing discounts and credits, which at the time, helped us buy our rate down a bit. I will say that we were originally in a townhome, but the building turned out to be a different color than we were initially told and that was a deal breaker for me. Fortunately they had a new construction that had yet to go under contract that met all my needs and wants, including the color. So, it all worked out! While things have been good for us and we have had no major quality issues, I will say that dealing with warranty is a bit more hassle than it should be. From your warranty rep to the claims and then follow up process...all harder on the homeowner than it should be. From a community standpoint, I do wish Meritage communicated better to their homeowners, especially through the remaining construction process. There have been surprises built in conjunction with our community that if I would have been told up front, I may have thought a bit more or asked a few more questions before signing up. Additionally, I wish the community would have some sense of public space, like anything...a small dog park, benches, walking trail, etc...legit anything. While I live in single family, the townhome portion has been occupied for close to two years and is still struggling with getting working street lights. Which is insane. Not super impactful for me, but crazy for the community as a whole. Overall, we have enjoyed and still enjoy our time within Skyridge. We love our home and appreciate Meritage for what we can! I have no issue recommending Skyridge and Meritage to others interested in new builds.

We were relocating to the Nashville area with very limited time and little local knowledge and she exceeded every expectation. She started with thoughtful, thorough prep to help us understand the different areas of the Nashville metro, then efficiently took us all over so we could quickly get a real feel for each neighborhood. She helped us narrow our search even further and ultimately guided us into contract on our dream home -- all while we weren't even in town. Sara was exceptional in helping us think through negotiation strategy. I was finally able to recover the cash I was owed, but only after putting a lien on their property. They did an addition to my home, installed new flooring throughout the house, as well as other repair jobs that came up in the original portion of the house. I had a very specific vision for the work I hired them to do, and they executed it very well. Quality of work was excellent, communication was great, but most importantly to me I’d like to mention integrity and character. I went through a personal tragedy in the midst of the renovation, and Fred and his team went above and beyond to finish their work quickly, to remedy any problems, and to help correct issues from other home renovation professionals so that I could get into the home earlier then anticipated.
