I usually shop in-store, great staff, but since they didn't have my Nina Ricci perfumed lotion, I decided on a first-time online order. The delivery company did reply they were not responsible for content of package, only the delivery. I understand leaks can happen, but it is unacceptable for such a company as Jean Coutu to miss out on common customer service courtesy.

I like Jean Coutu because it carries some cosmetic brands that other pharmacies either don't or if they do, their selection is smaller than at Jean Coutu. Jean Coutu carries Mavala nail products, Blinc mascara, and Talika products to name a few. Their house brand of cosmetics, Personelle, is also quite good. I also like that they carry Roger and Gallet fragrances. They carry some "as seen on TV" items as well. They also carry ties, socks, hats and such accessories. For regular drug store items I would say they are the same as Shoppers Drug Mart or Rexall, but their cosmetics section is what makes them different. If you love cosmetics and haven't been to a Jean Coutu, you should check it out!

I said that it was not a sign in front of this particular product and she said "someone must have moved it". Regardless if it's not posted it's not the customers fault. I was buying for myself and my elderly mom in the car. She was on a power trip. No sweat of my back but someone needs to talk to her about her customer service skills. I walked in moments later and bought the rest of my items (I always respect limits however it clearly wasn't posted).

The supervisor on duty could not explain why, only that she was told never to accept returns or exchanges. This seems to only affect this location as I went to another Shoppers Drug Mart down the road and had no problem exchanging my defective merchandise.

This Rexall is located in the Place d'Orleans Shopping Centre…read more Rexall is a drug store, and it's certainly the underdog here in Ottawa, as Shoppers Drug Mart is the leading pharmacy. This location is awesome. They always have plenty of clearance items and I've scored lots of products for real cheap. It's big, bright and clean. Staff are pleasant and competent. Rexall no longer takes Air Miles. They have their own points program now. It's called Be Well. Admittedly, I don't think feel it's as good as Optimum Points (the points program at Shoppers Drug Mart). For Be Well, you get 10 points per dollar spent and you can claim 25,000 points for $10 off your purchase. Meanwhile, for Optimum, you get 15 points per dollar spent (at Shoppers Drug Mart, you only get 10 points per dollar spent at Loblaws or other grocery stores under the Loblaws banner), and 10,000 points gets you $10 off your purchase. I do root for the underdog, but at the end of the day, I shop at places that save me money, lol. I really like this location though. It's one of my favourite Rexall stores in the city.

But the service I received I thought made up for it I thought. The sales associate offered me help, I said I'd let her know if I needed it. I asked her a couple questions and she seemed to be knowledgeable on the products and was very professional. She also gave me some samples to try out so I'm excited to try the foundation samples she gave me. Overall this shoppers is one of the smaller ones. But it has a post office which is always nice. And the post office staff are always SUPER nice and professional no matter how busy it Is. They also have self serve cash out which l like. I don't overly love the layout of this shoppers but it gets the job done.
