While some things are overpriced, many aren't, & they have great sales. We went to Hema after my daughter's appointment to grab a bite to eat. When pregnant, sometimes you can't decide what to consume, & you want it all. Well, inside Hema's little cafe you can just about get one of everything. The cafe is clean, roomy & the food is really nice. We got a slice of red velvet cake, which they also included cherries in, latte, cheese pastry & chocomel. Nice little mini brunch break. Afterwards, down the escalator right into the baby clothing area. Oh, the selection. With these prices, you might find yourself wanting one of everything here too. Nice store, nice little cafe, & good location & within walking distance from the Hoorn Station.

I decided next winter I will be looking fashionably attractive in my winter jacket. I am a big fan of this shop despite them not having my favorite winter coat. I have been looking for a beautiful yellow winter coat forever. So I finally found a drop dead beautiful winter coat by Henri Lloyd. The sad part they ran out of my size, so now I have to wait until next winter to see if they will get my coat again. I would strongly suggest buying your winter gear here. They have a lot of fashionable winter clothes for the casual, comfortable and fashionable dressers. The store is about an hour train ride outside of Amsterdam, so if you decide to take a little trip outside of the city, then enjoy a day in Hoorn. I enjoyed the area as well. It's a beautiful, quiet and lovely area to visit outside of Amsterdam. The Dutch people here are extremely nice.

Old wood is a very big barn converted into an awesome home interior store. They sell chairs,…read moretables, cabinets, lamps and more. I found this store online looking for industrial lamps. They sold the exact same lamp up to 50% cheaper then other stores. They also sell other items cheaper then similar products elsewhere. The only downside is the distance. They are located just north of Hoorn.
