Because of this, I have tried every type of hair removal (besides electrolysis) and after having one eyebrow longer than the other, rashes, burn marks and just all around uncomfortable experiences, I became a fan of threading. When I came to Chile I searched off and on for 2 years before I came across this small beauty salon, Carolina. They were hiding an absolute treasure: Majida. Majida is a recent transplant from Palestine, and honestly one of my favorite women in Chile. Despite not speaking much Spanish (and even less English), she really knows what she is doing! Her magic fingers and superior talent leaves me mustache free and with perfectly shaped eyebrows every time. She also listens. If you want thicker eyebrows, more space in the middle, more off the top etc she will do it (and nothing more). A good threader is hard to come by (especially in Santiago since there isn't much of a threading culture) but I have come to trust Majida with my face. I recommend her and Carolina Salon. The prices are incredibly affordable. 5 mil for eyebrows and mustache. Tip: Majida doesn't work Mondays. Call ahead of time to make an appointment, but keep in mind that sometimes (especially in the afternoons) there might be a 15 minute wait - despite having made the appointment. She takes walk-ins.

Salon Carolina is clean, inexpensive, and the staff are super friendly. I love going here for an eye brow threading. For those who don't know threading is a type of hair removal. I find it way more efficient than waxing and it last longer. Although is it super painful, I love always leaving Carolina's with perfectly shaped eyebrows and it's only 4 mil. They also do hair, nails, and waxings. They are really flexible and will always try to fit you in for those last minute appointments. I always schedule an appointment to be on the safe side, however they do take walk-ins as well. The outside has fun decor of a woman with long hair painted across the building. For a new comer the salon might be hard to recognize apart from this painting. I love the lighting on the inside too, very warm and the spiral staircase to get to their upstairs area is very charming.
