Located next to the cruise port at Vigo, Spain, the Centro Comercial a Laxe is a combination of large indoor shopping center with a casino, all housed in a modern spacious building. My wife and I had the opportunity to stop in twice on our port day. It also serves as an informal entrance to the heart of the city, with an outdoor land bridge connecting the complex to the city, guiding visitors through the mall. We slowly made our way to that, while making a note of stores that were not yet open, that we wanted to stop in on our way back. There is free fast wi-fi provided throughout the complex, which was great, allowing us to catch up on what was going on, on our phones. A lot of the area was decorated for Christmas and provided good picture opportunities. It was empty when we entered at 9 am, but by the time we came back around noon, it was moderately busy with tourists and locals alike. The complex is multiple stories, with roof-top access providing a nice panoramic view of the port and the city. Centro Comercial a Laxe is definitely worth a stop-in if visiting Vigo via a cruise ship. read more
