Excellent group of positive trainers, using positive reinforcement (think Victoria Stilwell style…read moretraining) to build trust, fun and respect between you and your pet - and not forced behavior nor punishment. There are no hidden tricks here - if you opt to leave your dog for training (with your own quick follow up lesson when you pick him/her up), all lessons can easily be observed from outside the training fields. Wonderful transparency: no hidden fees - everything is published online; no under-the-table payments - you get a proper receipt for every payment; no lackadaisical attitude towards your pet's health and wellbeing (both physical and emotional).
Private lessons as well as group lessons. Lots of different types of training available, from basic obedience to rally to dog dance, and on and on - at least nine different training classes to try! Puppy classes as well as for any age. We ourselves started with basic obedience and moved on to dog dance with our AMAZING trainer, Silvia Pastorelli; Silvia is not only a qualified dog trainer but is also attending veterinary school and a true behaviourist, she has trained dogs, horses and even a hen! My two doxies ADORE Silvia, and I've got no doubt that they'd adore any trainer there as well.
While group lessons are in Italian, Silvia and Cinzia Cecconi both speak fluent English (and Silvia also German) so whenever I had a bit of trouble with a concept, it was so easy to clear things up.
Trainers are very available even when not in front of you, via phone as well as social media (but no worries, this is never allowed to interrupt your lesson). Cane Campione enjoys a large group of regular members who have formed a fun community which socialises together; this isn't necessarily what every pet owner is looking for, but it does say a lot about this place that there's also a very available extended support system!
Daytime boarding available, doggy day camp style, in which dogs shown to socialise well together can spend the day playing together, which is a huge plus towards the emotional health of your dog. Secure fencing with several security gates, and staff that are always present. Pick up and delivery available as well.
I did quite a bit of homework in my efforts to find a good trainer in my area - I found at least four which are well known, none of whom were willing to even disclose prices unless in person, and which also encourage you to leave your dog behind so that they can privately do their training - explained to me by a friend (and believer in punishment) that "there are some sorts of training that owners just don't like seeing." Boo hiss!!! So glad I had the patience to keep looking and finally found Cane Campione and Silvia!!
