Since my very first visit at the clinic, they've made me feel welcome and comfortable both by their friendly competence of the staff and the pleasant environment of the office itself. I remember one of their assistants taking the initiative to attend my 2 year old while the hygienist was giving me some valuable advice on my eldest's dental health; small details...very meaningful. Both dentists have been great, they inspired the utmost professionalism and passion by the quality of their sincere advice and skills, both totally painless and in the moment ! The best recommendations to Centre Dentaire Fairmount !

The service from the dental hygienist and administration are very unprofessional. The first time I…read morecame here, the lights went out in the building so I had to reschedule my teeth cleaning to another appointment. Note, there was no power outage in any other building nearby. I made the appointment and then they called me close to my appointment date saying they had to reschedule me, so I did. I went back but I found the hygienist to be unprofessional since she was putting the dental instruments on my chest. I've never experienced this, she should've used her tray to place her tools. Also, instead of using her own cloth to wipe her instruments, she kept using my bib. I decided to give them another chance hoping it was just a one time thing and made another appointment for my next cleaning. They called me the week before my appointment telling me the office will be closed and I need to reschedule again. That was the final straw. I explained to the person on the phone I won't be coming back due to the constant rescheduling. Instead of apologizing, she was very rude on the phone and basically told me I wasn't telling the truth about my appointments being rescheduled. I've never experienced such UNPROFESSIONALISM from a dental clinic.

I only have love for the staff here- from the receptionists to the dental hygienists to my actual dentist! I understand how daunting dental exams can sometimes be but the quality of the experience here helps reduce any anxiety you may have. The space is clean and modern. I went on three occasions (in one week!) and each time the friendly dental hygienists thoroughly explained which tools were going to be used and for what purpose. My dentist Dr Desmarchais is first of all hilarious which is actually an inconvenience since it was uncomfortable to laugh with so many tools in my mouth. She explained which treatments I needed and how to maintain healthy dental hygiene. Spoiler alert: flossing is not optional. I've had bad experiences with other dentists where the work had to be redone and I used to always get food stuck in my teeth but I haven't had any issues since my appointment here. They use digital X-rays as well, which is apparently better than traditional X-rays. Since they're located dt, they come in at 7:30am to accommodate office workers who want to squeeze in an appointment before work. All in all, I highly recommend this clinic if you're looking for a new dentist!

Amazing! Yeah, no…read moreone usually uses the word amazing and dentist in the same sentence, but Dr. Collins at Clinique Dentaire La Cite definitely deserves the praise. I went to Dr. Collins as a new resident of Montreal, and had no clue for what a great experience I was in for. I had previously gone to a dentist in Chicago and knew that I needed a crown on a tooth that had previously undergone a root canal. Dr. Collins is by far the best dentist I have ever gone to. He made sure to make me feel comfortable and was very aware of how anxious I was about the procedure. He talked to me about all my options, never pressured me and took the procedure at a slower pace that I could handle. His office is gorgeous, and has a panoramic view of Mt. Royal and the canal. It is located on the 9th floor of the Transat Tower which is across the street from Parc Jeanne Mance and Parc Mount Royal. What a view! Completely different than most dentist offices, which resemble dungeons more than anything else. He put on a movie for me to watch while he was doing the procedure, it definitely helped me take my mind off of everything and eased my anxiety. His assistant was super sweet and chatted with me before and after, making me feel comfortable and not worried. I'm sooooooo glad I somehow found Dr. Collins, he made the whole experience painless in every way.

(It was so bad at the time that I avoided the dentist until it was dire, and would be anxiety ridden before, and during any session). After meeting him for an initial check up and cleaning, I was so comfortable I went ahead and some small procedures done (like changing some old fillings from silver to white), each time I felt better and more at ease with the process and my phobia disappeared. I have been a regular patient twice a year for cleanings ever since. Over time he has taken me through 2 new crowns, a few fillings, a route canal (see Dr Katz review), and whitening treatment. I have to admit that he has not had to do too much in the way of work, because the maintenance program we have is so good. His entire staff including his most valuable asset (Mary-Jane who is his receptionist) and the various hygienists I have had make going to the dentist a pleasant experience. I know this sounds crazy coming from someone who feared dentist, but knowing your taking care of your health, and that those assisting you are so sincere does just that. I have and will continue to send him new patients (I have at least 6-7 people now seeing him), so if your looking for a new dentist, give Mary Jane a call, letting her know you read Val's review, and you too can discover the joys of a peaceful dentist appointment.
