I initially started seeing him as a result of an ongoing lower back injury, and he remains my go-to guy whenever I'm suffering from any kind of physical injury. Dr. Brisson has worked with the NHL, Cirque du Soleil and Olympic athletes, and you'll often see young gymnasts and other sports enthusiasts in his waiting room. He really knows his sh*t - not only is he a certified chiropractor, but he's also a Kinesiologist and thus, his knowledge of how your body moves is incredible. He's not your standard chiropractor, often using unconventional ways to get to the root of a problem. For example, I once complained about my balance being off - he left the room, came back with a capsule of fish oil, broke it open, and told me to stick it under my tongue. He then made me execute specific movements and asked me if I still felt unbalanced. Nope, I did not. He's also been known to use acupuncture to treat some pesky injuries. He knows exactly which areas to target to fix your problem. He has also often advised me on nutrition, the best types of workouts for my body type, as well as what kind of supplements to take to help optimize my health (no, not steroids!). The one thing I need to point out is that Dr. B has a very unique personality.... he's VERY dry and sarcastic and he can come off as arrogant. But, once you get to know him, you get used to him. As far as I'm concerned, he's worth the drive, the money and the attitude. He's not one of those doctors who has you seeing him every week for months on end - you'll see him a few times IF you need to, and you'll be all set. Of course, this is dependent upon your issue. I now see him 1-2 times a year unless my back is misbehaving. Price: Very reasonable - it's about $60 per visit.

This place offers mainly yoga/meditation classes and different holistic services like massages, accupuncture, hypnosis. It's very modern, relaxing, soothing. The decor was beautiful and inviting, which is very important because this part of the city can be kind of rough unfortunately. Pricing was fair, service was professional and just what I wanted. Services: I was able to look at everyone's bio online as well as schedule my own appointment via the website, which I appreciated. I chose François-Olivier based on his experience, which is very well-rounded and aligned with my needs. My first visit was an assessment and F-O asked me several questions starting with what my main objective was - which is great since I have more than one but need to prioritize ! I found him to be attentive and he explained things well. After doing a short treatment session, he suggested a few exercises that I can do at home and let me know that there is some work to do (with him). I appreciated his transparency in that he can't guarantee that osteo will resolve my issue and feel like he manages my expectations well.
