Where to begin... I had been suffering with terrible headaches for a few years. My doctor would…read moreprescribe muscle relaxers, anti inflammatory pills etc.. to no avail. After much research and a recommendation, I was referred to Dr. Poirier. I was unsure of chiro. but willing to try anything. I was taking about 8 Tylenol a day just to be able to be productive. I had x-rays taken (on site) and went back the following week for a treatment plan based on what my specific needs were. I was relieved to find out that I could be helped if I followed the plan and was pro active. Dr. Poirier was very empathetic (even though I am sure he has heard the same complaint a hundred times) I felt that he was hearing it for the first time. Within 8 weeks I was down to ZERO Tylenol and my body all of sudden carried itself in a different way. My friend even commented how my posture had changed and she is an occupational therapist. I had to relearn how to sleep at night, which stretches are good for me to do 3 times a week (these pro active tips and tricks are given to you when your are given your treatment plan). I am so grateful because I feel like I am 10 years younger. I don't feel the snap, crackle and pop every time I turn my neck. I chose François-Olivier based on his experience, which is very well-rounded and aligned with my needs. My first visit was an assessment and F-O asked me several questions starting with what my main objective was - which is great since I have more than one but need to prioritize ! I found him to be attentive and he explained things well. After doing a short treatment session, he suggested a few exercises that I can do at home and let me know that there is some work to do (with him). I appreciated his transparency in that he can't guarantee that osteo will resolve my issue and feel like he manages my expectations well. Thus far, I've seen him several times and resolved some of my crap. Price point: $115 per session. I will let them explain it to you, but quickly there are only 100 or 200 of them in Qc and it is a technique that comes from Europe. There strength? The education towards their clients. Got so many pieces of the puzzles put together that I have no doubt it helped with my recovery. He has put me back on my feet after a sacro illiac injury and are helping me incredibly with a pain I have since 3 years and that no one (about 8 alternative specialists and 2 medical ones) have never been able to do so. When I say "He" I speak about Dany, the kino. There is also an ortho therapist and my mother sees him. Amazing results too. My mom has never been able to be touched deeply for massages and this Ortho has just helped her to overcome this blocage... I see such a difference in her energy and her posture. If you love deep tissue, which are so rare in qc, you will be served. They also can adjust to the softer fans. What are you waiting for? Ma mère n,a jamais aimé les massages en profondeurs Mais cet ortho a réussi à l'amener plus loin que ces anciennes douleurs et il y a tellement une différence dans sa posture et son énergie. Si vous aimez le style "deep tissue" qui est rare au Qc, vous serez très bien servi. Et ils savent bien s'adapter pour les fans du plus doux. Qu'attendez-vous?
