I do like to come here though in the first couple of weeks of each education period, and if I manage to get out of bed early, I have a decent chance for a window seat. The cafeteria keeps you caffeinated and provides some snacks, if you hit that afternoon low, but it's a lot of greasy baked stuff or sandwiches. Not many options for vegetarians, even less for vegans, so plan accordingly. Overall, I think this library has all that you really need and is generally well taken care of. There are some annoyances like ignorant people who save a spot all day without showing up, a bit of a bathroom situation during peak hours and the weirdest opening hours: 8.30 am during the week, which is ok, and 11 am on the weekends - that part I really don't understand. There are quite a few people who like to work early, so I wish they would accommodate this better.

Muntpunt has an extensive collection of books of all genres. But day passes are available as well. There are multiple spaces that fit different needs: there's the computer room on the 3rd where you can use the computers till 7.30 pm. On the 5th floor there's the study room: you can go there to study. There are little nooks where you can sit comfortably by yourself or in group, if you need more space for yourself. The staff is very friendly, very welcoming and always ready to help. The library is huge but there's staff walking around, so you'll always be able to ask for help. Besides the normal library services, Muntpunt organises events almost daily and the are open on Saturday. I'd love it they opened on Sunday as well. And wouldn't it be great to open the library till the late night? There's students who would love this!

Lovely donation-run library tucked up in the 4th floor of the Kasernenstrasse building (takes a bit…read moreof effort to find it) - really friendly volunteers, they have events for expat families (some playtime for children, book sales, tea) and a very good collection of books and DVDs.
