The project manager we were assigned with was Justin G. From the beginning it was difficult communicating with him. He came and did the inspections but would not release the estimates to us. When I asked him to email me the estimates, I never heard from him. I had to call my insurance adjustor to get those estimates. That was strange. Another problem was that he told me that he had convinced my insurance agency to increase the amount they were to cover for entire roof replacement. After the work was done, though, he then told me it wasn't a certainty until they reviewed the photos he had taken in the middle of the work(although, he wasn't there. He was out of town on vacation). So, now we may be paying a lot more then he had led us to believe. I also had asked him to give me a 2-3 day notice before work was to be started so that I could give my tenants a heads up. He had quickly responded by saying that would be no problem. But, one day I happened to drive past the property and noticed that there was a high pile of packaged roofing tile on the front lawn. When I spoke to him about this around 2pm that day,(this was the 19th), he told me that work was scheduled for the 22nd. I was miffed by that because he assured me that he would give me notice of 2-3 days. I have a feeling he was never going to give me that notice had I not contacted him first about seeing the tiles on the front lawn. The other issue regarded another property. He was unable to convince my insurance agency that there was damage so he called me and told me to call them to ask for a second inspection and that he wanted to be there so to be sure I informed him of the date and time. I was fine with that. I was able to get that second inspection. I immediately texted him the date and time. He then responded by saying that date wouldn't work because he was going to be out of town for that whole week and then he gave me specific times that he would be available. I was miffed by this. I wondered why he couldn't have made that clear to me before I wasted time making an appointment he wouldn't be able to attend? Let me tell you, it's not easy to get a hold of an adjustor. It took days. And during those days, Justin was being a little pushy by texting whether I heard back. The next day, he texted asking me if he could have the name and number so he could move things along. I decided not to respond and just wait to hear from the adjustor. I finally got the new date and time. I immediately texted that date and time along with the name of the new adjustor assigned to our claim. Finally, about two weeks later, the adjustor showed up at the set date and time. Where was Justin? I texted him asking him where he was. He then called me and told me that he thought the appointment was for the following week. He asked me for the name of the adjustor. I had texted that to him when I texted him the date and time!
One more thing. While I was on this last call with him, I asked him if a piece was replaced on another property that he said would get done the same time as the roofing replacement on the property mentioned above - he had assured me it would. Well, it didn't. But he casually brushed it off and said it's a 5 minute job and that he'd get to it. At this point, though, I found him highly unreliable and untrustworthy. That is when I told him we were going to work with another company on those two properties. If you work with Central Roofing, I would recommend to a friend and to you reading this, to request a project manager that is not Justin G. read more
