Last weekend, there were plenty of kiddos enjoying a Saturday morning activity which was fun to see their enjoyment. We walked in and a large room up front had four tables set up with ladies showing groups how to make fun things with paper. It was such a wonderful way to spend the morning. If the baby hadn't started to get antsy, then the child and I would have spent all day there. Judy showed us how to make a few things and was patient with my son going through all the steps. As for the library, we had never been to this location. It was so clean. Not just tidy, but clean. Everything looked like it belong in that spot with no clutter. The kid's area was great for an antsy 2 year old to play and let off some energy. I tried to look for a book, but she wasn't having it so must of my time was in that space.

The library is an architectural landmark and a nice space to work in, though it can also feel a bit utilitarian. They have a range of books and audio collections to browse and borrow. A lot of people come to use the computer stations or work on their laptops. The ground floor has more of a social atmosphere where some people play board games and there's a store that sells used books. During tax season they have help with that if you need it.

Just stay in the other areas and it's nice and quiet. Also - the thesis room is an amazing place to read up on an incredibly wide variety of subjects. I highly recommend going in there, grabbing a random thesis and sitting down for a quick read! Great way to get some knowledge crammed into your head. Today 2/26/25 I watched as Aydrien comes over to a deaf (disabled) person and tells her to tone it…read moredown. (The woman was video calling on the computer with someone and deaf people make sounds). But she wasn't being any louder than the tutoring happening in the library or any conversations happening at the tables in that library. So I stood up for disabled woman. Went to the desk to ask Aydrian her name and she refused to give it to me. Proceeds to lose her mind and get loud when I walked over to the desk grabbed a piece of paper quietly and professionally. Long story short, Aydrian is a miserable person who hates helping people, her job, and her life. She is unprofessional and it shows. Because I DO come in very often I live walking distance to the library and grew up in public libraries in Los Angeles. She lost all her sense when I told her I was reporting her for being rude to the disabled woman. Then threatens to call her boss on me which is exactly what I want you to do when I ask for your name and you refuse to give it to me. Then yelling about how I come in everyday. And I will. Come in EVERYDAY with my own laptop right in my bag. As many times as I feel like. It's a public library. Stop making excuses for being crappy at customer service. Just stay in the back and be the ackward librarian with no tolerance or social skills Aydrian. She keeps announcing very loudly how she only has one more week up front. She needs to be removed and I will be reporting her to Hal Harmon because I see the supervisor job advertised, so complaints will go nowhere unless you escalate them elsewhere.
