Central Cigars has the ideal location given its vicinity to dozens of bars on the Central Avenue block between 3rd and 1st Street North if you need to balance out the buzz of alcohol with the pull of tobacco. Its lounge is inviting, cozy, and relaxed for patrons who want a breather from the barrage of bar noise and enjoy a good smoke, with its plush leather chairs and bar counter. Central has an extensive selection of cigars, comprising many brands from which you can choose within their temperature/humidity controlled humidor. For my money, I always go for either the Oliva Series V or Padron 1964 Anniversary, depending on what they have available, but Central seems always to have what I seek. I told her two sets of gifts and approximate what I wanted to spend. What was amazing, she actually undersold me on products first. Which I really appreciate. Beautiful shop located right in downtown. An entire wall filled with Cigars - an amazing variety and selection. All kept in perfectly humid conditions for cigars. On the other side a just as long bar with all sorts of adult beverages to accompany a wonderful cigar. In the back a huge open spaced smoking room. I used their bathroom and it was both impeccably clean and smelled amazing - also the woman's bathroom in a place where I was the only female. I order a lukewarm draft beer and a 20 dollar cigar while having the bartender gave me a terrible attitude after asking for a water. She was condescending and horrible to order from. The restroom guy thinks he's from the show Sopranos. He has bummed me over trying to use the restroom and the last time I went there he calls me a tough guy and asked me why I was in "his" line. Be careful about what you pick though because some of their recommendations are a bit pricy. After you pick a cigar walk to the back and see if there is any live music. There usually is.
