Now I'm being told because they screwed up the paperwork at the branch we went to and didn't check the correct boxes to add me to the checking account and that they're going to hold $3000 that now will just go through probate. I've asked for an explanation as to why I have a debit card to an account I was never on. I've gotten no response to that. This bank is terrible. I intend to never bank here again. I've removed as much money from my account as I could.

I just got ripped off using the Security Bank issued debt card. What about the prepaid monthly cellphone service obviously not provided ? Sorry you are screwed says the bank. Joseph was my teller and made great conversation as he quickly processed what I needed and gave me a printout of the bond receipt. Shani is a wonderful woman I have worked with several times who not only works as a teller but also processing credit cards and probably multiple other jobs I haven't seen. She saw me in the building today for another reason and dropped everything she was doing to swiftly handle my new credit card application right then and there! It had been in the works with some paperwork for a few days and we'd been back and forth by email, but when she saw me instead of just calling me next week (it is a Friday), she took the initiative to get me all squared away right then and there! Plus, she was so personable the entire time and made the process incredibly easy for me. I am so glad folks like Shani and Joseph work at CACU and help make my experience so delightful each time. I've done business with CACU my entire life and compared banks and other credit unions without finding any superior to this. Plus, they have free cookies and coffee in the lobby. The benefits of this credit union versus a bank are myriad and include higher interest rates on savings accounts and CD's and lower interest rates on credit cards.
