The food earned this place one star. The spinach and crab dip and the steak bites were delicious. Besides that, I would not recommend since the service was awful. We purchased a hookah and the waitress was very inattentive towards it. We continuously had to find her to have her either replace the coals or to move them around since they don't leave the tongs on the table. The waitress repeatedly had a nasty attitude with us and even threw the hose on the table. There were several times we had to repeatedly ask for drinks as she would forget them. We also got there pretty early, maybe the first ones there, and the entire night, there were no paper towels in the bathroom. read more

The bartender NICK was very disrespectful towards my boyfriend and I. We've went there multiple times and have never been carded and when we approached one night, we were rudely ignored and then denied because they believed my boyfriend's ID wasn't "legible" and the bartender claimed we had to be 21+ to be in the establishment, because of "quarantine?" How does that makes sense? On top of the fact that we arrived at 1:30am and even though they state that they close at 3 we've been there enough to know that they usually close around 2:15am so we were denied entry damn near close, but they were still accepting drink/hookah orders. Anyways, due to the fact that we've went there multiple times, we were aware that we could buy shesha to use at home for the same price as using hookah in the establishment, when we asked to buy shesha since we couldn't stay, Nick told us that they've never sold shesha. However, We knew that was a lie because we have previous receipts. At this point, we knew we were being discriminated against especially after being told "leave and never come back" and we never once came off aggressively to deserve that. I have such a love-hate relationship with Central. Love their food. Martinis are fab. Music is usually pretty great. But the crowd on Saturday nights can get a little bizarre. The waiter was not a customer service natural but He did bring free hookah and shots to our table but the vibe was just awkward as if they were making sure we stayed. First hookah lounge I have ever experienced and I loved it! The atmosphere was amazing and the age of the crowd was right up my alley (seemed to be 25-35). Im glad me and my boyfriend got there earlier on a Saturday night. We received a seat at the hookah bar without any wait. The drinks were good and the hookah smelled amazing. My boyfriend and I got a little nauseous at the bar and left earlier, but after we grabbed a bite to eat we felt amazing. Later I was told that you should NEVER smoke hookah on an empty stomach. Upon arriving at approximately 9pm, it was very easy on the eyes, and about 6 people in the establishment on a Tuesday night. The drinks were wonderful (lemon drops) although my girlfriend likes sugar on the rim, I told her just give me yours and order another after she ever spilled it. No biggy. We we waited for another couple the had to leave early and was in a wheelchair so at 9:30 they arrived, and as you know all the seating is six feet in the air. I asked if we could be seated at at a table for convenience purposes. "Um no ma'am that's VIP seating." Understandable if it was Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday but this was not the case. Visited on 8/27/2010. Hillary met us at the front door with a friendly and professional manner. the rest of the night only got better. The food was perfectly cooked and portioned. Everything was just perfect. Hillary proved to be a very professional and accommodating server. The drinks were perfectly mixed and timely served. I would highly request this place to the hardest core of foodies. Just go during the day between Sunday and Thursday. Friday and Saturday night is another animal altogether. Not bad. This place is shady. They charged my card twice...hours apart. One for $20 (correct) and one for $104 (incorrect). When i called they never even apologized, gave me excuse after excuse, saying that mistake happens all the time and everything should clear up next day. Gave me the General Managers cell number, and when i called/left message, nobody answered or returned my call. Had to work with my bank and finally resolved it three days later. Do not waste your time here. I've come here for three weekends in a row with friends, came here because they're known for quality hookah. We arrived, they moved us to a "different room" because they were too busy to service two rooms. As soon as we sat down, they moved us again. We sat down at the bar and they yelled at us "WE'RE. CLOSING". We calmly explained that we'd just paid $30 for a hookah and just wanted to smoke it, and the bartender rolled her eyes and mumbled under her breath. I've been coming to Central 111 for at least 3 years now. They always have a big crowd and have beautiful dancers, cocktail waitresses, and bartenders. The drinks can be a little pricey, but they are not stingy with their liquor pouring either... ;) On most nights it's a mix of top 40 and dance music. There are a couple nights a week they only play electronic dance music. If you don't like it, go next door to their sister club, Venue 112. My response to some of the negative reviews is: This club attracts alot of European locals and tourists, plus lot of local models and gorgeous women (and men), so if you don't want to enjoy beautiful company and some of the best dance beats, then don't come to a club that caters to more of a Miami and NYC vibe. As far as the food, they really have some of the best tapas I've ever had. They give out free samples during last call while the bar is closing at 2am, but they serve dinner until 3am. read more

Great place to go if you don't mind watered down drinks and could care less about the HORRIBLE music. Overtime I've been hearing complaints from friends that frequent venue/central and they've always mentioned they felt less valued since they're not in the "in" crowd. For a small bar, I find that ironic. Central has extremely unprofessional management, and stepping on the abundance of napkins being thrown isn't the most appealing. ( napkins being thrown is usually a sign of "TURN UP!!".. Central staff would throw napkins while the bar is near empty and the DJ is playing the thong song..) It's not the worst place, but I'd only recommend going if your favorite place, your second favorite place, and your 'if all else fails' place is closed or at capacity. read more

Everything about this place is amazing! The customer service, atmosphere, and my favorite... the FOOD. A variety of tapas dishes are offered. I've been going here for five years now and it has only gotten better each time. Very diverse cultures and open to all age ranges above 21. The genre of music is also diverse... house, hip hop, pop. I took a good look at the list of "rules" central 111 had for their visitors posted at the front door and I was turned away for the way I was dressed. According to the guard BRIAN I was wearing "camo" pants and a sports tee. For one the camo dress code was not listed on the list of rules they had outside and my sports tee came from cotton on. There was not official team on my shirt just the letter "m". I have reason to believe central 111 simply turned me away for the way I was dressed. That being a female dressed like a male. That being the case clearly they're not an equal opportunity establishment and they clearly discriminate their guests. I have never been to this establishment. Came here last night around 9 to smoke some hookah. The decor was mostly white in the club area and in the hookah lounge there were 5 couches for groups. Luckily our group of 4 snagged a couch because it wasn't very busy when we got there. First impression...it's okay. The bartender was very friendly and took our drink order but once we sat at the couches it seemed like there was only one waitress doing all the work. So service was slow. I do like they used plastic hoses so you don't have to worry about not seeing if your hose has been cleaned. The shisha tasted great just took sometime to get it. We ordered calamari, hummus, and spinach artichoke dip which were all hot and good! The drinks were strong and my Mojitos were to die for. I take two stars away from it because the restrooms weren't very clean for 9pm and it seemed like there was a leak from the ceiling which could be hazardous especially wearing heels. Went there tonight and was discriminated against. I like to think there are good people in the world. I've heard before that this place was racist but I didn't believe it. Tonight me and my friends wanted to go out so we decided to go here. When we got to the door the bouncer told us it was a 10.00 cover. We left to go to the atm but before we could get to our cars we noticed a white couple walk up and walk right in. So we scratched out head. We were with others (females) and another guy (white) arriving later and they flashed id's and went right in. One girl asked was it a cover and he said no. Then she asked him about turning us away and he said he had the time wrong he thought it was 12:00 (it was 11). Beware of this place. The rumors are true. They are racist. read more
