this is a entity that doesn't care any thing about this community my friend lives in River Oaks had no trouble getting trees cut and everything restored however it's been over a year now and I am still at square 1 the customer service rep will not transfer me to a supervisor no one has returned my call and the give me a mimb to someone else I read the CEO Lesar comment in the bio and that part keeping the neighborhood safe is not true the staff doesn't give a care about the safety they have installed the power line and poles and not maintaining them trees are growing through them and I have reported this over and over and nothing has been done. CALL YOUR STATE REPRESENTATIVE!!! I did. We waited almost 3 months to have the gas line and meter retired from our old farmhouse. I finally contacted my state representative. A few days later he phoned me back and stated "the response he received was 100% dissatisfied". He stated he contacted their lobbyist and the meter and lines were removed 2 days later!!! When a state representative ask you to jump you better ask how high. Going cold...........well so unacceptable. He will let them have it!! They are also scammers. They gave our information to scammers with a MN address. The scammers have all OUR information!! It came from Centerpoint. They are using Vectren letterhead. My husband is even receiving late night calls demanding overnight payment for a new meter that was installed in our current house. The gas company is legally responsible for the meters. I am getting ready to send the scam bills to the state representative. THEY HAVE NO BUSINESS SENDING MY PERSONAL INFORMATION TO ANYONE!! Do not respond to the insurance offers either. They DON'T EXIST!! Google the phone number-doesn't exist. The 833 toll free number is out of the country and can't be traced. Don't let this company scam you. Probably the worst gas company I've ever dealt with. First of all, most people work 9-5 but they're unwilling to schedule an appointment after 5. So, according to them, that's your problem not theirs. Secondly, if you DARE miss their automated phone call before your appointment, you'll immediately be cancelled out and forced to reschedule. So I missed their call on more than one occasion because again I work for a living (guess that makes me a weirdo) and was in a meeting at the times they called. Long story short it's been a week already and I still don't have gas. May never have gas at this rate. I've called customer service AT LEAST 5 times already too. Absolute garbage company. They will make any little thing impossibly difficult. All I wanted was to update my name on my account. They ended up shutting off service for 48 hours, then charging me $250 to get it turned back on. Phone reps will flat out lie to you in order to justify hitting you with fees. Techs don't knock on your door or call you, then force to you to pay MULTIPLE 'same day activation fees' of $50 each. read more

This place is terrible. Not only do they somehow manage worse customer service than Comcast, but they are constantly going back on their word. I paid $47 for a same day connection and they SWORE to me that, by law, their technicians had to light my pilot light themselves. Well for the third time these ***holes didn't light my pilot light so I had to wait 3 days for their office to open back up. These people are terrible to work with, never get their stuff done on time, and don't lift one finger to try and help you out. I really wish there was another gas company in Austin. Awful, awful company. We set up an appointment to come set up our gas in a new apartment because we were moving from Dallas. We sat around waiting for the gas company to show and never did. We called and they told us we didn't pay the deposit.. no one told us we needed to pay one for them to come out. So, then we paid it and set up an appointment for the next day. Then, we are waiting that day.. my fiance was on the phone with our new landlord and he recieved an unknown phone call so he called back after he got off the phone and it was an automated call from this company. (He literally called one min after the phone call from them) He calls the company to see when they are coming and they said because he didn't pick up the phone call that our appointment was cancelled and we would have to wait 30 days or pay $47 to have them come out!!!!! Wtf!!! This company is a freakin joke. If it was possible for us to go through another gas company, there would be no hesitation. Except we can't go that long without a shower and cooking.
