The reviews that give this location a four star average rating are primarily about the food, and more specifically about the steak. The steak WAS good. No question about it. If you enjoy your steak and don't mind waiting for an hour and a half while listening to music blaring loud AF through a blown out speaker, while surrounded by broken dreams and the sad smell of desperation then this is definitely the place for you. None of the reviews reflect the entertainment. I am not a prude by any means and I've been to strip clubs on more than one occasion in different parts of the country. Don't get me wrong, I am by no means a strip club aficionado, but typically the entertainers appear happy to be there, even if they are just putting on an act. They typically smile at the very least and try not to appear like they would rather be doing their taxes or going through a root canal. AMAZING FOOD and SERVICE!!! Let me start off by saying the BEST STEAK I have ever had. Period! Consistently Great. I've had steak there 4 times. All 4 steaks were Great! Portions are massive. Steak is hand cut to order Prime Beef. Cooked perfectly, seasoning is excellent and presentation impressed me that the Chef Brendan (hope I spelled that correctly) who cooked it delivered it directly to our table. Huey was the Manager there. Great Personality. Professionally dressed and was making sure all orders that came out to tables were correct. Lady serving was polite and efficient. If you are a true "Foodie", you want this place on your list. I've managed restaurants for over 20 years. We cooked over 10,000 pounds of steak each year. I've ate at Michelin Star restaurants in Italy. This place is better. If you are a Ribeye fan that lives within 100 miles of Springfield, MO, I would highly advise eating there. So, this is very cliche to say, but it's actually true: the steaks here are delicious. I'm not much on strip clubs - but I've heard from more than one person that Centerfolds has the best steak in Springfield and I always just assumed it was some sort of running joke, given the fact that it's a gentleman's club. But, in all seriousness, the steaks are great and very reasonably priced, even when you consider the cover charge to get in ($7/person). I very rarely eat the entirety of a steak, but I definitely ate the entire thing. And the service was good, too. My only complaint was where we ended up getting seated - right beneath a speaker, pumping out bass. It made it difficult to hear the people we were with and have a conversation. read more

So here's the scoop: I got in later in the evening, maybe 8:30 or 9 on a Wednesday night. $7 cover charge, reasonable enough, if you can ever consider a cover charge reasonable but whatever. I come in, place is kinda small and it looks like there maybe 10 girls and about as many patrons, maybe as many as 15. Kind of physically small but layout is actually pretty good. Small bar directly in front of the entrance, bathrooms to the left, seating and stage to the right. Got myself a booth and settled in. A cute little redhead seems to be the only cocktail waitress working that night, but I'm a good tipper so she was at my table with a fresh old fashioned pretty frequently. I'd heard this place had great steak and I was craving some good Missourah beef, so I look at the menu and see it. The Fat Clemenza. Oh my sweet child yes. 30 ounces of steak, bread, and two sides. Good lord have mercy on this innocent soul. I order it. Not too long after a pretty girl comes up and introduces herself as Asia. She instantly becomes my companion for the rest of the evening and we spend more time hanging out and shooting the shit than anything else. We trade stories, muse on the adult entertainment business, stripper drama, and just have a good night. My order comes up. Oh boy. This is gonna be fun. Asia looks at it and I can see her nearly drooling. I cut off a bite and feed her and it's clear she's in love with my meat. I take a bite and I'm in love with it too. Well seasoned, juicy, tender, well marbled. Prime shit right here. They say it's the best steak in Springfield, and I believe it. I had a few shots from the girls going around in addition to my old fashioneds, and bought Asia some shots and a few vodka cranberries too. Apparently buying girls drinks pays their house fee so if you really wanna make some friends, there's a pro tip for ya. Oh, and freaking tip people too. Evidently everyone in Springfield is a cheapskate, or broke. In which case you have no business throwing your money at single moms and college students. These girls work hard and deserve your consideration ya mooks. After a while I decide Asia deserves some compensation and we discuss rates. $25 a song, at any of several private booths. No vip or champagne room, or dances at the floor. Nice and simple, no pressure to upsell. We go to her favorite booth and Asia proceeds to rock my goddamned world harder than the Fat Clemenza. Hoo boy that girl got azz. Pity about the pasties but eh that's local ordinances for ya. Afterward we go back to my table and proceed to just cuddle and hang out some more. One of the shot girls, Brenna I think, joins us. Sweet girl we keep chatting and just hang out, buying drinks and having a grand old time. End of the night, I cash out my tab. That can't be right. My steak was about $35 or $40 and I totally lost track of how many drinks I'd had. Evidently only about $70 worth. I was expecting a bill easily approaching, or even over, $150 but no, $107. Heck yes my boys. Now, is Centerfolds the best nudy bar in Springfield? Maybe, but I haven't been to any of the others so I'm not thr one to make that assessment. Springfield, Missouri as most of you can figure out is not exactly a mecca for high end Gentlemen Clubs and even though I have only been to 3 I can guarantee that if you want to go, go to Centerfolds. So I ordered the corn beef and cabbage. The portion was small, but priced at only five dollars was appropriate. Food was good. Cover charge was five dollars. Can't use phone inside the building and no customer can move in fashion that looks like dancing even sitting down. Came here on a Monday night for dinner with some friends. We heard the food was good here so we decided try it out. It was everyone's first time. $5 cover charge at the door, I didn't have cash but they we ok with putting door charge on food/drink tab. The staff was friendly. Waitress took good care of our group. We were served a dirty glass, lip stick stain, returned to the bartender and he replaced beverage. Our food arrived, presentation was ok. I asked for steak sauce before taking a bite of steak and the waitress said they didn't carry any. After she mentioned that I assume the steak was that good that it wouldn't need it. Took my first bite and I definitely needed it. 'The Vinnie' was a good size steak but I couldn't eat all of it because it was bland. My sides were potatoes and onion rings. Potatoes were cold, I was not sure if it was meant to be cold and onion rings were like any other onions rings. Overall, food gets two stars and 2 stars for friendly staff, drinks were good and the girls were actually pretty good looking. Would come back to chill but not for the food. read more
