A lot of people here serve in dozens of ways. I noticed another reviewer who has not attended the Church, but might have seen the entrance, suggested something about vines killing the trees near the entrance and gave two stars. There might have been some confusion, plus this Church is located in VA not Oregon so I'm not sure if they are rating another Church. I hope you will consider visiting a donut and coffee fellowship time after mass, attend an intercultural café y conversaziones time with our Spanish speaking community, or attend a program like ChristLife to strengthen our faith community.

Having joined St. Mark's over two years ago, I have really fallen in love with this church. It has…read morea lot of good opportunities for everyone to get engaged (Incl. a young adult like myself), even over the pandemic w/ online gatherings and social-distanced ministries. For example, just this past September, we completed installing a 63.7kW solar array, which has been an exciting part of our mission to care for creation. We also are active with PACEM, Habitat for Humanity, Loaves and Fishes, and so much more - lots of good ways to get involved with the community. I am also extremely appreciative of the fact that we are committed to being LGBTQIA+ affirming and have an active UVA campus ministry and youth group that reflects this kind of inclusivity - and we are fully gender egalitarian. If you are looking for a new church home, or haven't historically been a 'church guy' (like I was a few years ago), this is a wonderful, love-filled and Christ-centered community to check out.
