For a town the size of Lloydminster, the arena does the job. But I'd does have some flaws that make it inferior to the other arenas in this town. The floor is littered with trash and food. Not just the little bit that comes with hockey games. You can look in any direction and see it. The arena is also either extremely cold or hot, depending on where you're sitting, so dressing one way or another does nothing. At some point you will either be freezing or sweating through your clothes. The seats are also fairly uncomfortable, but this isn't news considering it's a small town hockey arena. The concession also takes a fair amount of time. Whether or not you get food during an intermission, the wait is still fairly long. The arena does have some redeeming qualities. For the most part the layout works, but there are some bottleneck points where walking traffic really starts to get squeezed tight. The experience itself is fairly good. For a smaller town the games that are put on are fairly well managed and have all the little things that make it a proper viewing. Overall the building and its upkeep are somewhat lacking but the game experience put on does the job. read more
