The only thing that would've made this stop perfect would have been if the coffee shop was open, but we stopped here at 8pm so the coffee shop was closed. They closed at 4. Totally understandable. Purchased gas at a Fort Dodge location, same station I get gas 2-3 times a week, pretty much the…read moresame amount every time, no problems, I pay at the pump, my bank app notifies me of the charge before I even get out of the parking lot. But not Saturday, had a little over $130 in the account, everything went normally except I didn't get a notice on the bank app. Next store i went to, only allowed $30 on the card, turns out Kwik Star had placed a $101 dollar hold on my account for a $13 gas purchase, and then failed to process it correctly, so four days later, it's still floating out there and my account is still empty. Kwik Star tried to blame my bank, then admitted fault, then tried to blame my bank again, then admitted fault to my bank, and then tried to blame my bank again. At this point in time, it would appear that they have done nothing to correct the problem, told my bank they can't even figure out what they screwed up, and it would appear that they are intentionally just waiting for the 5 business day limit they have before it just drops off and run it through ahain, in the meantime leaving me with zero funds for the entire week. No apology, no attempt to make it right or even offer to compensate for the very real problems they have caused me.
