The quality of the work is very disappointing and frustrating. Workers take no care of property. Roof tar left all over house and tree like they wiped fingers down walls and vents on house. Applied new roof over damaged area without telling us. We selected Cen-Tex to reroof 8 buildings in our condominium complex approximately 6 years ago. Big mistake. We had two buildings previously reroofed two years prior by McAdams--no problems. Because of a lower price, we went with Cen-Tex. There was damage to areas around a chimney and decking that they did not inform us about and reroofed over it. Chimney became dangerous when we realized the issue. Also flashing in areas was not done properly, which also resulted in damage. One building has had continuous leaks. After three years they refused to continue to come out to try and fix the problem, saying the warranty had run out, even though they never fixed it properly. Use another roofer! We have gone back to McAdams and been very satisfied. read more

One of their drivers almost hit me as I was backing out of my own driveway in a subdivision community where the speed limit is like 20. They weren't near when I started backing up so if I was fully backed out of my driveway by the time they started holding down the horn, they had time to see me and go around. I called them out for a quote after a hail storm. They refused to give me a quote without seeing what the insurance paid. When I showed them, they quoted me the amount the insurance charged. I used another roofer and when they asked why, I told them I got a much better price from another roofer who did not even ask to see the insurance paper. Cen-Tex then came back with a lower price. I did not use them because I don't like those type tactics. read more

Ok. They screwed up and it took over a year to get fixed. So why did I give them five stars? Well, first the roof was over our porch so not leaking inside the house and hard to catch since the infrequent rain came at night or when I'm at work. The installation crew came out twice but failed to fix the leak. I called them this time and they no longer work for CenTex. Good job Chase! Once I called Chase he was out within a week and did the job right!!! Wish I could post pics on here cause it looks great! Jesse did much of the remodel and is top notch as well. read more

Update: Since we had a good experience with out skylight, we called them for a roof leak issue. They have been a nightmare. Since they "fixed" our problem, the leak is about 2x as bad. We called several times and they claim to have sent someone out, though there is no evidence anyone has ever been here. They obviously didn't fix the problem, but we are left to wait until the next rain to see how bad the leak is. At that point, I plan on taking them to small claims court to get our money back so we can hire someone to actually fix the problem. read more

Cen-Tex Roof Systems replaced our roof and did a great job. We originally had several leaks, but they replaced all rotten wood, as well as removed and replaced the shingles. I highly recommend them for your roof. However, I do not recommend them for interior work. Since we had roof leaks, several rooms had water damage on the ceiling. The crew that Cen-Tex Roof Systems sent to do the repair work, as well as additional work we requested, was unprofessional and sloppy. They had to repaint/touch up one ceiling several times. We had them remove and replace the texture on the ceilings, and they did not cover the carpet or walls, thus left a big mess on the floor and walls. In one room, they wiped down the walls to remove their mess, and in turn removed the finish from the paint. Therefore, they had to repaint the walls in that room. In addition, they moved a wooden rocker out of the room, and placed it outside. We didn't find the rocker until several days later, after we received two inches of rain. The rocker was obviously damaged from sitting out in the rain. These are just a few of the problems we encountered with their crew. Use Cen-Tex Roof Systems for roof repair and replacement, but steer clear of having them do interior work. read more
