Very happy with everything, except there was an issue of employe not showing up on Sat morning, cost me THREE round-trips. Couldn't call cuz iPhone was bring worked on. I hate to say do, but the owner of the business Nextdoor told me that employee was out back drinking till very late, then the shop is 3-1:2 hrs late opening and the Mgr told me the other guy called in sick. There are too many good people trying to make a livelihood for this kind of stuff to happen. Owner of the Nextdoor business actually said the CPR company are terrible neighbors. I went to Cell Phone Restore to get my cracked screen replaced on my I phone 7 plus to help out local Galveston business instead of taking it somewhere else, there was nothing wrong with my phone besides being cracked. I came back to get my phone, when I turned it on to check the screen to make sure the screen worked, it worked, but wasn't as good of color quality as the original one that came with the phone... but my BIG issue was that I can no longer see my screen at a upright angle with my sunglasses on and can only view it when it's turned sideways. This was not a issue before. The manager did not offer to fix it and only offered a 10 dollar discount. DO NOT GO HERE, unless you do not care that you can't see your phone with sunglasses on. *note the only option besides the 10 dollars off the $95 and just buy new sunglasses that aren't polarized, was to pay for them to replace the screen again with the same one and test my odds with another screen. I was not offered a "more expensive lcd". This review I did was done so people don't get trapped with a screen that doesn't work with sunglasses so whether it's using your phone to navigate while your driving or simply just on your phone at the beach, you won't be able to view your phone. So viewers, keep this in mind when getting your phone fixed from here. I went here thinking "oh wow! Their reviews are amazing, and it's convenient and on the island." I travel around the United States and internationally as a living statue performer. To stay in shape I go for morning runs even when I travel. This morning I broke my phone beyond recognition & was desperate because I need it for Ubering, checking into my flight, AirBnb, etc. Vincent, the owner of Cell Phone Restore in Galveston, TX, not only drove me to and from ATT, where I was told I was going to have to pay $600 up front for a new phone, but had one of his employees fix my phone for just $225.00 in 20 minutes. If they weren't going to be able to fix my phone that night they were going to give me a loaner phone to use until morning and return my repaired phone to me. I would give zero stars if I could. DO NOT SPEND YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY HERE!! I took my iPad Pro to get fixed and purchased an otterbox, I was also informed it would take approximately two weeks to have my iPad repaired. I didn't have a problem with that and I called to check the status in two weeks and was told that they didn't have it and that it was sent to a Houston location to be repaired and that if I didn't receive a phone call saying it was ready then it wasn't ready. I waited another week and called back. again, I was told the same thing. I left a message for the owner to call me back and I never received a phone call from the owner. a few days later I stopped by the location and I spoke with a lady who said that she didn't know and that she would leave a message for the owner. again, no one called me. about a week later I called and spoke with someone who said he was new there and that they had switched from traditional paperwork to keeping track of everything on an iPad. however, there was an iPad at the location but, there was no paperwork with it or no name With it. I ask the man if I can come and try my code to see if it is mine, he says that I can. I go to the store and the iPad is dead, I had somewhere to be so I told him I would be back. I ended up calling the next day and he put my code in over the phone and it was my iPad. I asked if the otterbox had come in yet because I didn't want to pick up the iPad without the otterbox because I didn't want to chance to break it again. he said no and to call back again in a couple of days. so, for about a week I called every couple day and every time it was like pulling teeth, the man kept saying I don't know, it was very unprofessional. finally, the man said that he would personally put in an order for my otter box and to call back in a couple of days. so again for about a week, I called every couple of days. I would get an excuse after excuse. throughout this entire process, NO ONE EVER called me from the company, not to let me know my iPad had been fixed, about my otter box or about the horrible experience that I was having. on Saturday, October 26, 2019, I called and again asked about the otterbox and he said that they had received some packages in but that they were moving to 23rd in and that I could come by on Tuesday and that they should have my otterbox and iPad. come Tuesday i call and he said he didn't know if they had the otter box, again this is like pulling teeth I have to ask him for information that he should be providing. I asked well did yall finish moving? no, we didn't cause the rain. ok, when will you be done. he said that he didn't really know what it may be a few days. at this point I was fed up and had decided to pick up my iPad cause, it just seemed shady to me. On Friday, November 1, 2019, I went to pick up my ipad, it was dead so there was no way of me verifying if it worked properly. (i did plug it in a charger there but, was asked to leave before it turned on.) Again I asked about my otterbox. again, he said he didn't have it. I asked him when he would have it because I paid for it and it's not there. he called the man who used to work there and I guess between the two of them they decided that he could refund me $25, I paid $205 for my screen to be replaced "at cost" with no labor because it had been broken so soon since the last time they fixed it and an otterbox. an otterbox cost about $50. I told him no, I would not be taking a refund of $25 and that I wanted them to order me an otterbox. he said that he can not order me an otter box. read more

These guys are great!! My wife dropped her iPhone 6s in the parking lot of our hotel and cracked the screen glass pretty bad while on Galveston island and she was very upset. I called the store and (Matt)said no problem bring it by and we will fix it in only an hour with a brand new iphone OEM LCD screen and guarantee it for up to 90 days. True to there word it now looks just as good as when brand new, also (Vince) was awesome as well and was kind enough to put a new screen protector on it for her at no extra charge , Wow $60 is all it cost and now we don't have to worry about who to call for any phone problems we have while we are visiting Galveston island in the future, Thanks Guys your Awesome! read more
