The following is my personal, first hand experience, as a Jehovah's Witness who was part of this…read moregroup and visited this Kingdom Hall for many years: I was a Jehovah's Witness for 32 years. I was told that I would not graduate from high school before the world would end at Armageddon. I graduated in 1989. You do the math. In 1995, after being taught that Bible prophecy indicated that the Generation alive during 1914 was going to be alive to see Armageddon, they pulled the rug from under my feet and hit us with the Overlapping Generations. Later, in 2018 I discovered the Australian Royal Commission, where the Jehovah's Witnesses were exposed for covering up child sexual abuse. In addition, when I heard the Governing Body member, Geoffrey Jackson say at the Australian Royal Commission that "It would be presumptuous to say that they were God's only mouthpiece", that was it for me. I started doing research on the religion and what I found was disheartening. I discovered a long list of failed prophecies, that includes 1914, 1925 Beth Sarim, 1951, 1975, and now the Overlapping Generations teaching. I decided to leave the organization and was immediately labeled an Apostate. I lost all of my JW family and "friends." All have actively shunned me for the past six years. * Jehovah's Witnesses Cover up Child Sexual Abuse and have lost many lawsuits because of this. They are worse than the Catholic Church in this regard. * If you decide to leave the organization after being baptized, you will be ostracized and shunned. You can not leave this cult in a dignified manner. * They have changed their lingo ("Disfellowshipped" to "Removed", "Judicial Committee" to "Elders Meeting."), but don't be fooled. They did this because countries like Norway have removed their registration as a religion for their violating human rights. And this is costing them millions of dollars. * The Jehovah's Witnesses have a record of 100% of failed prophecies. * Do your own research. Even David Splane urged you to "Seek the facts." You can start here: jwfacts.com, Oasis Ex-Testigos on YouTube, and the book "Crisis of Conscience." (The photos I posted are MY photos. I took them with my personal camera)

It was very evident that your work is to do (at your church) and that is not the work of the God we serve. Galatians 2:20-21 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain. There was nothing but a 10 min message and a guest taking about some organization (which seem for a good cause but that is just part of an announcement - for it should be)

On an average week, I would spend…read moreat least 10 to 15 hours a week at this place, including multi-day revivals, Saturday prayer mornings, Wednesday nights, and of course, Sunday mornings, not to mention additional holiday events. My mom and I started attending this church and upon our first visit, we were approached and invited to lunch with an "elder", who began courting my mom and ended up marrying her, against my will. Suffice to say, this man was not a godly man, and the church treated our family like outcasts instead of helping me. I was made fun of by the youth group and called a loner, was ignored, isolated, and humiliated to sit on the front row of this church with my "family", yet we were cordially ignored and avoided, eventually being asked to leave the church. It always confused me, how people who sang about helping others, grace, helping the helpless, chose to turn their backs on me. When I finally had the strength to leave Irving in 2008, I called my so called pastor of this church to seek guidance, support and finally use my voice and share the truth, something that I had not been able to do since 6 years old. No matter how many times I called his office, how many messages I left, I was repeatedly told he was busy, or unavailable. I even reached out to his family, which was of no use. It broke my heart, that a place that boasted they were so full of God's spirit, could reject our family instead of intervening. An entire organization who Saw ME as an embarrassment instead of being an advocate for a defenseless little girl. I can never again take this church seriously as they have put their money where their mouth is and have shown me for over a decade, their true colors. My advice would be hard pass. Like most churches, they will have modern affects. Fresh coffee. Bright, shiny smiles. Even wonderful people who are being unknowingly exploited for free labor AKA serving, however the "warm fuzzy" feeling that coats you as you walk in isn't the holy spirit. It's a song and dance to get you to fund their illusion and kush lifestyle. So incredibly sad that the gaudy, prideful and arrogant people of this church never took the time to see I needed help, that my mom was too worn down and emotionally weak to take care of me and leave the "Elder". We were surrounded a sea of religious leaders who never intended to get their pretty shoes dirty. Thanks for everything, Calvary Church, what a gem!

All Masses and Sacraments are offered in the (Tridentine Mass) Traditional Form. If you're a "say the black, do the red" kinda traditional Catholic you need to come visit our church. If you don't know liturgical Latin, don't worry, we have books that help you read along in English. I use the book every time and I've been coming here for years, it won't single you out as a newbie. When you come into the church first thing you will notice is that it's really quiet and no one is chatting. This isn't us being unfriendly, it's all of us showing reverence and respect for those praying before mass. It's the "sacred silence". We chat and greet outside the chapel area after mass. Many of us use lace mantillas to cover our heads aka: chapel veil. If you don't have one, don't worry, ask any of us ladies about them and we will help. I usually carry and extra one just in case someone new needs one or someone forgot theirs. If you come to visit, dress modestly, bring a sweater as it's really cold in there even on hot days. Bathrooms are across the walkway in the other building a few steps outside. There is a really nice and well stocked bookstore with rosaries, books, gifts, free coffee, and all kinds of goodies. At Mater Dei, priests are available to hear confession during or after almost all Masses in the old school wooden booths at the back of the church. When you enter, kneel, gather your thoughts, wait for Father to open the screen door then begin. There are sensors on the kneelers that turn the light outside to occupied status so that no one will interrupt you. There are two booths, one on each side of the priest, if he doesn't open your screen yet that means he's still hearing the confession in the other booth. Don't knock in the screen, it makes them grumpy and he knows you are there. They're pretty well sound proofed but keep your voice low.

Incredibly profound experiences for all who attend the Traditional Latin Mass at Mater Dei. What…read morebeautiful worship.

However, the exterior does feel a little lackluster compared to some of the other big temples. The temple can get busy in the evenings, weekends and on special religious occasions but never have I felt rushed to complete my visit (which has happened to me in temples elsewhere). There is a main hall, which houses most of the deities, and an area with chairs towards the back for the elderly (who find it difficult to sit down). I can say without a doubt that you can go in there and connect with the Lord without being disturbed. There is a also another small section of the building (a smaller room of sorts) that has a few more deities, so do not forget to visit that area before leaving. You can check out the temple calendar for the different poojas and events. Plus, at the entrance of the temple you can ask for a special prayer to be done (at the temple or outside). I am happy to have found this temple so close to where I live.

I spoke to Pastor George up front about my concerns and bad church experiences in the past that I…read moredid not want to occur at this church. I told him that I was just there for church...not judging and not for interrogating not for laying of hands until I got to know folks & then I WOULD DECIDE ....he agreed. Steven & Mary picked me up for church... He became tyrant when I tried to calmly clarify where he was parked... Steven was angry in a "How dare you ever question that I may have made a mistake...I am NEVER wrong attitude!" (red flag). Then there was the nonstop personal interrogation that lasted through the ride & much of bible study (respect promise broken - red flag). Didn't see Christianity in their celebration of hula dancing & prayer only indicating that new people R lost and not simply people looking for biblical fellowship... (arrogance causes blocks in ministry). Also, George broke from his normal sermon to laying hands on everyone....I declined as discussed with George. Also, the bible study (Steven) teacher's wife, Mary told me that the males regularly flirt with women that are not their wife as though this was ha! ha! cute (red flag). ...lots of vain talk. I kindly publicly informed about 30 people... George & his adult choir daughter not to touch me anywhere due to serious physical health issues. Then at the end of the service, out of nowhere a strange man abruptly had his open hand firmly on my lower back while standing approximately 4" with his mouth from my mouth. Ironically bible study was on listening to God and breaking from rigid church traditions. Apparently they do not believe that God corrects them through vulnerable visitors. Sexually harassed, I kept pulling away from him. Then he moved his hand to caressing my arm that I told everyone in the church that I had an injury to and please don't touch just smile instead. I immediately told the strange man the same. He was still only inches with his mouth from mine way too close. The bible says don't even look at a woman in lust or you have committed adultry. This person crossed that line to physical contact and personal space invasion... Only OFFER handshake. He saw that my guard was down and he accosted. When driven back they kept trying to trick me into giving personal info...this is a safety & respect issue. The ride was not worth it... charity service in exchange for harassment...bad deal. Later that night I called Mary & kindly gave feedback. She immediately attacked me (as usual from the 1st ride) and took a verbal stance indicating that no male at her church would ever degrade a woman. She had no idea who the male even was, at that point. I then told her that the male was Asst. Pastor Robert. She continued defense, telling me that he was a very Godly man and loving father (many pervs fit her description). She told me that he must have thought that I was super spiritual, so I must not have personal boundaries. She then told me that I must be damaged and need to ask God to "fix me" so that I am comfortable with a strange man sexually harassing me. She kept rhetorically asking, "Would you feel uncomfortable if he put his hand on your lower back if he did it in front of Jesus?" I immediately referenced the bible's teachings on adultry in the heart. Then she said rhetorically, "Would you feel uncomfortable if Jesus put his hand on your lower back?" .... Then more attacks on me defaming me as "damaged" and made other continuous false accusations to defend ANY male in her church. No pedistools... I would not let a coworker, a boss, a customer, a stranger on the street, Ect put his hand on my back especially not while conversation approximately 4" with his mouth from. Unfortunately there is a lot of lusting people up & singles matching in churches. I said, "I have the right to set personal boundaries with males in the church without being discredited as damaged." .... reminded me of a catholic church cover up of sexual abuse...smaller but why let escalate? It is what you do in secret and how you respect ALL that is the 2nd commandment. If someone had shown no tolerance and a kind correction of the man, I would have continued. Instead "Godly" woman chose to make ungodly unbiblical excuses and continuously attack me..... not biblical & DEFINITELY NOT from the Holy Spirit. Only Satan uses scripture out of context and/ or to mischaracterize the Holy Spirit. The "Godly" woman actually told me that the Holy Spirit must have told the man to put his hand on my lower back in such a manner while just meeting me. People will treat you like U R stupid when they think that U R vulnerable. The Holy Spirit DOES NOT instruct against Lord Jesus and Lord Jehovah's teaching on respect, self discipline, and sins of lust. With churches like this you can see why so many worthy people are run out of churches. How can they correct lust in society when they facilitate sexual harassment at church? "No" means "No!" God bless
