Some crash courses are superficial and regurgitate exactly what is in the course slides or book. For $120 and 12 hours of your life, you are better off just taking that time and reading the slides or book and then hiring a private tutor for weak areas. Very little value for money and time in terms of learning more than you could on your own with the materials you already have. Not enough problem solving to help prepare for an exam. On the other hand, some of their more experienced tutors are truly excellent teachers and know how to teach a class of students who are at varying levels. In particular, Amy for chem is probably the best in the city and is even recommended by professors at Concordia and McGill. Chet from Gradesavers has a much better reputation for physics. In summary, the company has some good tutors and some not so great ones, depending on your expectations.

I decided that I would invest in some additional practical classes close to home to try and get my confidence where it needed to be to really nail my exam. My first six hours behind the wheel were spent with Ali whom I'm convinced was born a driving instructor. That guy has the patience of a saint and is just generally a pleasure to learn from. I owe my confidence and skill behind the wheel to him. I followed up the first six hours with a three-hour session with Mr. Rashid (the owner) where we drove to the Dorval SAAQ to run through everything that could go down for my exam. I highly recommend getting this three hour crash course (no pun intended), as Mr. Rashid was super helpful and definitely got me in the right head space for my exam. You'll be happy to know that afterwards I passed my exam on the first go, with several really positive comments from the examiner on the quality of my driving. Thanks Safa! I did not take any of the theory with this school, since I had done it elsewhere, but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to anyone needing the full SAAQ course. I docked one star because there are some serious inconsistencies between instructors when it comes to the basics of driving: I think that they could work on ensuring that the same message is being communicated across staff, but that's really my only gripe.
