Amazing costumer service! Really good food! The environment was so welcoming! Will be back here !

So I've been waffling on how to do this review. My experience was questionable, but the food was good. When I arrived, there appeared to be just a couple of people in front of me in a line that seemed like a buffet/Subway sandwich shop style setup. I didn't see any menu prices, although I had an estimated idea of the prices from their website. I gave a man behind the counter by order and he told me it would be just a few minutes, although I was there about 30 minutes. He seemed knowledgeable about the menu items and told me that the tabouli was a $1 extra than the standard salad as part of the shawarma plate. While seated, I noticed a pile of trash that had been swept up, but not discarded right in the center of the stairway where I walked by to sit. It was never moved while I was there. When I walked over to check the status of my order, the man I gave my order to was chewing and touching his face. These are red flags during these times. Why did I stay, is what I kept asking myself. Anyway, my total was more than expected for a shawarma plate and gyro. But I didn't complain because I understand supply chain issues. Anyway, my shawarma plate was good and my husband enjoyed the gyro. I just hope it appears cleaner before my next visit. read more

The food here is great! I had the falafel plate. The salad was amazing. I could taste each ingredient and the dressing was served on the side. The humuus was fresh smooth and flavorful. and the falafel crisp and very tasty. The portions were large and I couldn't finish it all for lunch. The people are very friendly and service is superb. I'm not too familiar with mediterranean foods, but i've always wanted to try it. I looked at SERVERAL places in Memphis, but I saw lots of great reviews about here so I decided to order the chicken shawarma since I have some friends in different states who say it's a great dish. AND LET ME TELL YOU- this place did not disappoint. I enjoyed every bite until I got full, but that's besides the point. 11/10 Will go again. read more

If you're thinking about trying this food - do it! We got the chicken shawarma wrap, beef wrap, some falafel, hummus, and arayis. While the pita for the wraps is very thin and makes the sandwich hard to eat before it falls apart - the flavors were awesome and garlicky! If you're getting the hummus, opt for extra pita bread as it's a lot of hummus and only comes with one piece of thin bread. The extra pita is like $3 for a bag of almost a dozen. The arayis is a good try once, but it's basically a beef quesadilla without cheese. And for the falafel... the texture was great, but they had a very strong sour/tangy taste to them which I didn't care for. Overall, very tasty food and I would come back. Shamefully, I've passed by this place numerous times and paid this no mind. Boy I've been missing out! Cedars is a hidden gem tucked in an obscure corner of Kroger shopping center. I've always been a fan of Mediterranean food and Cedars does not disappoint. I ordered food to-go so I didn't really get the full service experience, but for the little time I was there the staff was friendly and treated me kindly. Pretty reasonably priced. They have a lunch special that is a wrap, side of fried potatoes, and soft drink for about $10. Not bad considered the size of the wrap. Upgrade the side for a little upcharge. I opted to not do the combo since I'm not a fan of soft drinks. I had a beef shawarma wrap and full side of tabbouleh - I believe the side for the combo is a little smaller. The wrap was loaded with meats and veggies. The side a nice generous portion. The only thing I wished is that the meat on the shawarma was a little bit warmer. Albeit to be fair it has been cold in Memphis lately and did order take out (but consumed it within 10 mins). Obviously the food was delicious because I was focused on the food, I forgot to take a picture of it! I plan on returning soon to try out more dishes and their popular potato side. A quaint restaurant in the back of a strip mall, Cedars Restaurant serves up fast casual Lebanese and Mediterranean food. The food is decent and reasonably priced. You get good portion sizes on the entrees and sides. It's neatly served despite being on a fully loaded plate. It's a great option when I'm trying to eat clean because the food is healthy and tasty. read more

Still not one bad thing to say about this place! Today my sister and I were craving fresh food and decided to stop in here for lunch. It did not disappoint!! The rice here is always super soft with the perfect flavor, the potatoes are fantastic, and the gyro meat the right combination of tender and browned. And please, please don't even get me started on their hummus!!!! Pretty sure THAT is my favorite part!!! I really love this place and highly recommend you try it out! read more

Cedar's is hands down the best Mediterranean food I've ever had! I highly recommend the beef kabobs - well seasoned, well charred, cooked until tender... it was delicious. After trying the family platter, I'm convinced the entire menu is just as good. Don't take my word for it though, go try it. read more

Cedars impressed me with friendly service & a variety of fresh & innovative creations. Upon entering, inhaling the blend of spices awakened my taste buds. The Chicken Shawarma Plate was delicious & filling. & It was presented like the picture displayed, which doesn't happen everywhere. I wish there were more Mediterranean Restaurants in the area. I sorely miss my old fave Melos Taverna on Madison, as do many Memphians who were regulars there. read more

The food was pretty good, and I really wanted to like this place more. But there were a few issues. First small issue is they were out of beef shawarma. So we all got chicken shawarma. I did not want to get the lamb gyro because I can get that anywhere else. Second issue is that both the men's and women's bathrooms are both simultaneously clogged when we got there. So we had to go down to the Panera to use the facilities. Even paying is a little confusing. It looks like the kind of place where you would pay first. But everybody waited until the end to pay for their food. It also wasn't clear whether we should bus our own tables or not. I noticed that many people did not, but there was a trashcan in the corner, so we bussed our own stuff. In the end, the food was very good. I wish the bread was softer, but other than that, I don't have any major complaints about the food. read more

This is my favorite Mediterranean/ Lebanese restaurant in Memphis. The tastes are very authentic and the portion sizes are really good for the price. I ordered chicken kabob plate- it comes with a salad salad, hummus and pita, along with garlic potatoes and rice. The chicken kabobs are very tender and flavorful so is the rice. Garlic potatoes with the white sauce are so delicious! Hummus is also very authentic and one of the best you'll find in Memphis. We also order their falafal sandwich. These falafals are soo flavorful, one of the best I have ever had. We also loved their tabouli salad and baba ganoush. This is our go-to place for a quick take-out. Make sure you try their Namoura cake, it's delicious! read more

Holy moley! Definitely a hidden gem, Cedar's is hands-down the best Mediterranean I've had in Memphis. The falafel, the baba ghanoush, and the dolmas were some of the best foods I have ever consumed. I will return to offer them my first born in exchange for a free vegetarian plate. read more

Ordered a delivery order through grub hub, grape leaves kibbeh, and a kafta platter (ground up; beef/parsley/spices/onions etc on a kebob. Everything tasted exactly like it when I had it in Lebanon! The driver forgot to grab one of my items, the Arayis (lamb/beef on pita). Even before I noticed it was missing, the owner of the restaurant calls me and informs me that he is on his way to me to give me the missing item. Very impressive. read more

Gyro plate and everything on it was fantastic. All very fresh and perfectly spiced. Not a fan of the super-thin style pita they use. Hopefully if you order a gyro (or other) sandwich you'd get a thicker, warm pita, but not sure. Wish this place was in midtown! read more
