Our 3bd, 3ba unit was in a great location! It's an end unit with a gorgeous view of the Rocky Mountains and golf course. Staff was friendly and helpful during check-in. Our unit was clean and well stocked. As with most timeshares, they leave enough supplies to get you started for the week. Our unit has a washer and dryer, and full kitchen. This unit is great if you bring friends or family with you as it has an attached studio suite with its own kitchen and full bathroom. The beds are comfortable and linens nice quality. The grounds here are gorgeous and well kept. This resort offers many amenities including golf, outdoor heated pool, hot tubs, recreation room, fitness room, playground, and restaurant. They also have many bighorn sheep walking around. We're looking forward to exploring this beautiful area. Lake Louise and Banff National Park is about 1.5 hours drive. Would definitely recommend.

Our unit was full of GIANT ants. The first day we walked in, we spotted 3 of them in the hallway and 1 in the master bedroom. We cleaned them out and didn't really think of it. Every single day for the next week, there were ants in the hallway. It was DISGUSTING. The front desk only seemed mildly concerned. They sent someone to spray, but that obivously didn't help. They finally offered to move us, but we only had a couple nights left by then. I have photos and videos of this apparant ant infestation. Gross. Don't stay here.

I will start with the cons: * Small bedroom, as in "walk around the bed hugging the wall so you don't trip on the bed" small * Narrow & tall spaces to hang clothes; so tall that the hangers are well above my head (I am 5'6") * almost no hooks in bathroom to hang things, & no towel racks. There was a double hook on the back of the door, & one small hook next to the sink. While the room was small, there was room for a few more hooks between the bath & the door, but the wall was empty. Not great if you are bringing towels back from the hot springs. * Not accessible. Short stairs to get into every room Now for the pros: * You should stay here for the continental breakfast alone! Great hot breakfast items that change every day, with vegetarian items, & enough healthy options that I felt ok trying the French toast casserole both days. Hey, the fresh fruit cup balanced it out! * room had a full kitchenette, with a large mini fridge, small stove & oven, microwave, Keurig & kettle. Decent selection of dishes & cookware, including wine glasses. * shared BBQ space in the gravel lot * outdoor seating area on the deck in front of each door * 2 tvs, one on the bedroom wall & one in main room * walking distance from some shops & restaurants, including Casa Vino wine bar. Short drive to the hot springs * friendly & helpful ownership & management Definitely will stay here again; the price was quite reasonable for a last-minute holiday weekend booking!

There's a wraparound porch and Christmas lights, and the whole thing feels very homey. It's very obviously family run, which was a bonus for us. We're big on local businesses! We met the daughter of the owner who gladly provided us with some extra towels for the Hot Springs. Our bedroom was nice. Instead of going through the lobby we were given access to a back door that was a few steps from our door. Everything is keyed, no fancy swipe cards here! There was parking right behind our room, perfect for hauling in luggage. There's lots of light in the room, and the option of simple blinds or blackout curtains. We also had access to the porch which isn't useful in October but I bet it's wonderful in the summer. The bed was cozy, and well made-up. Of all places we stayed, they had the best wifi and TV service. Their bathroom looked newly renovated which I appreciated. It's only a few minutes from anything you need in Radium, including the Hot Springs, gas stations, and convenience stores. Breakfast was provided and it was delicious. The only quirk I have about this place is that it's too quiet, which happens in small towns. That's a personal issue and not at al the fault of the owners. I would stay here again and again!

Close to the hot springs. CONS: Place is in need of some major renovations. Fridge was so loud we had to keep it unplugged to sleep. Lamp shade broken. There were dead bugs on the wall and the toilet seemed to have an issue flushing all the toilet paper. Didn't even bother trying the shower. Some patio furniture was broke outside since they didn't bother to take them in for the winter (crushed by snow). You can hear people if you have one of the rooms downstairs stomping around. ***Major safety issue there though. Someone came by around 1am jiggling all the door handles perhaps trying to get in. Made us nervous the rest of the night. Never staying there again.

Upon arrival at the hotel, we had no issues checking in and were given a key to the room. We had to carry our luggage up to the top, as there is no elevator, which isn't a big deal and the do make note of that when booking your room. Upon entering the room, it was clean, has vaulted ceilings, a little kitchen area and living room. At the far end was a balcony. We really enjoyed this balcony during our stay. I can't recall the last time we were in a hotel that had one. The views from the balcony and stairs leading up to the top were outstanding! We checked out the weight room, which seemed extensive for a hotel like this, the sauna and the hot tub. We did take a quick dip. While we couldn't find a way to increase the temperature, we did the the jets going and it was a relaxing way to end our first night there. Both the hot tub and the gym were very clean. There was a continental breakfast each morning, consisting of cereal, bagels/toast, hard boiled eggs, some fruit and pastries. Juice, coffee and tea were also available. It wasn't anything like what you get at a Hilton/Hamptons, but it served its purpose. This hotel was reopened under new management and there is definitely a lot more work that needs to be done. The price was right ($129/night inc taxes), so that affected the review, bringing it from a 3 to a 4.

No mattress or pillow protectors, the carpets looked dirty and the bed linens and towels were not good. Same applies to the furniture, terribly old but not as old as the motel. There's a dog onsite that is allowed to foul out back and the droppings not picked up. Some of that is maybe forgivable but the unprovoked verbal attack by the owner Michael on my travel companion was shocking. This horrid little man has no place whatsoever in hospitality. I have seen in other unfavourable reviews that you claim not to know the reviewer. My room was booked in my companions name and the incident occurred on October 14, 2023. Further I called the motel and spoke to Michael's daughter later that day to ask that his behaviour be addressed. Sorry Michael, I don't want you trying to deny any knowledge. Probably best if you are going to try to run a motel that you let the rest of your family front it and stay well out of the way of your customers. In summary, there are many beautiful motels in Radium but this isn't one of them and the owner is an awful individual. He caused great upset. If you can't find another motel in Radium, sleep in your car.

#139 Will Yelp ever…read moreget to give us 1/2 stars (this is actually 3.5 stars, not 3). A last minute find on booking.com for a last minute trip on 20/21 June 2015 to Radium Hot Springs in British Columbia which is 2-3 hours west southwest of Calgary, Alberta and located in the Kootenay National Park (part of the Canadian Rocky Mountains). Once I found this, I remembered seeing it on my previous trip. Other than the Best Western (which I had stayed at one of my last trips to the area), there are no other chain hotels (additionally, the only other chains there are Husky and Petro Canada for fuel and a Subway for food inside the Petro Canada). The exterior is not much too look at in all honesty but here's hoping they will renovate that. The parking lot is clean but located on a hill so if your car is manual and/or low to the ground, keep that in mind when exiting/entering Hwy 93. It does have a pool and hot tub which looked inviting but I did not use since I spent most of both days at the Radium Hot Springs Pools 2km north up Hwy 93 (which have a hot pool, cool pool, and hot tub for $6.15 one-time entry or $9.55 day pass). I had room 14; the interior of the room is very nice (you can see pictures of various rooms on the booking.com website; I had the room the with the flatscreen). Huge bed with comfortable pillows with a refrigerator (which was not mentioned previously on reviews but now I know) and a microwave as well as small kitchen sink. Add to that, there is a shared patio for the upstairs rooms which has a nice view of the city and mountains in the distance. During certain times of the year, the mountain animals may walk by/through the motel parking lot so be aware of that. The staff was very nice, taking the time to explain about the hotel and the surroundings, what to do, where to eat, etc. One caveat, it does not have an ice machine and the fueling stations close at 10pm or before (so get fuel if you need since it's 120+ km up Hwy 93 toward Banff (or in Banff for that matter) to refuel). The weekend stay was very relaxing and surprisingly very quiet. They also had the better price including free Shaw cable and wifi in the room. All in all, a pleasant trip to an either forgotten or unknown area in the Rocky Mountains as this is my 4th trip and it's never been that crowded!
