I'm a senior at this school and I hate it. Don't ever send your kids to kentlake. There are some…read morestaff that are there for your kids but there are a lot that aren't. I regret playing sports for kentlake, all the coaches that really saw how worth it I was left and I was left with coaches that kept coming in and out. We'd have different coaches left and right. I'm a quiet kid at this school and quite kids are never the favorites for coaches. This school is mostly Caucasian and it's honestly really hard to make white friends at this school if you aren't a white person. I've been bullied just because I didn't stand for the national anthem. My counselor has been sabotaging my graduation, she is a white women. I haven't met a single person of color that likes her as a counselor. I hate this school and I'm ready to get out. I love a lot of my friends that do go there and a lot of my teachers but this school is just not supportive for many students.

Our son just graduated from Rainier Christian High School 5 years after our daughter did. The ration of student to Teacher is excellent, the teachers and staff are fantastic. Sports are great and our basketball team went to State this year. You can be confident that the curriculum is based on Christian values with no compromise. Happy to recommend RCSD to all ages.

In order to graduate from high school in the US he needed to pass English language and writing competency tests. After the first couple of attempts, the results were not positive. In working with Lacey, his counselor at school, we were able to get him additional help and support and she worked with us to let us know when the next test would be. We got down to the last possible test of the year and he was understandably nervous. He knew that not passing would mean taking summer school classes and probably attending school for at least one more semester. All of his friends had graduated and gone on to college. Steve's life dream wants to become a physician in the US. He played himself like I had not seen before and was as prepared for the last test as he could've been. I remember driving him to the test location and rent in that morning. He came home after the exam and said that he felt pretty good and his counselor called me at work one afternoon to let me know that he had passed. His dream of becoming a physician Was just a few steps away. Steve was accepted to the University of Washington where he graduated with honors. He has now been accepted and is enrolled in medical school in eastern Washington and doing very well. Our family would like to thank the staff, especially Lacey, for going above and beyond and helping a student achieve their dreams . Thank you so much.
