The park is filled with wildlife, we only saw a few deer, turtles, frogs and snakes but we were also with a bunch of very loud kids. The trials are very well marked both by marks you can spot so you won't get lost but the different trails are also color coded (and the marks) which makes everything easier. The trails are not long around 1-3 km so you can combine a few and the place is just magical filled with viewpoints, places to go into the river to cool down, swim or fish. BTW the trails are covered by the trees so its perfect even on a hot day. At the entrance, there is a parking lot (3$ a day self-paid machine), toilets and a couple of picnic tables. I highly recommend this place for kids or a short nature relaxation hike.

Had a lot fun on this course. I went here for a charity work event and it was my first time…read moregolfing. I didn't finish the course but I did do 9 holes. The holes that I did do were pretty fun though challenging. I spoke to a golf friend afterwards and he mentioned this course is definitely a challenging one. So maybe not the best course to do if you are a first time golfer like me lol. The carts were fun to drive and the bugs were that bad. I went in the beginning of September. The cart girls bring alcohol while you are on your course. There are showers in the bathrooms and towels as well. I would definitely come back here.

The River Trail is the best way to get to the mill, it goes along the river with lots of good viewpoints. The Mill is less than 1km in to the area. The rest of the trails are after the bridge all through the forest. They all seem to have similar sights, just shorter distances through the same forest. The trails are well marked using coloured paint on the trees and large plastic coloured arrows, so it's easy to find your way. We took the longest trail and it was about 4.5km. Parking is $6 which seemed reasonable for an otherwise free afternoon outdoors. Note that the mill can be toured but you need to book in advance.

There are perhaps 30 driving mats, not including being able to hit off the grass if you prefer. there are also bag stands spaced out for golfers to use. Yardage markers, mounds with pin flags, and even a cow (yes, a cow, she's made out of plywood) are plentiful here, from 50 all the way to 250 yards. I saw 2 gaggles of geese about 200 yards out, but I can't hit a five iron that far, so they were safe (I said I was sorry when i thought I'd be close) It's located about 5 minutes off Terry Fox, next to the Thunderbird Golf Center as well, about a 2 minute walk if you want to hit a bucket before playing a round.

The madawaska river flows pretty decent and is very deep in this section so the temp stays cool all summer long. It has a great sand beach but it drops very quickly so for adults it's great to be able to stand at your neck with a sand bottom. they installed brand new washrooms last year so bring the kids and don't have to worry about running into the woods to find relief. make sure you stop down the road at the NEAT Cafe for a great coffee, scone, or pizza for lunch.
