History
Established in 2000.
Started building websites in the early 2000s. Spent seven years building and maintaining web applications for a major Pacific Northwest school district's capital program — hundreds of millions in public construction projects, all held to federal accessibility standards. That's where I learned to build things that actually have to work, not just look good in a pitch deck.
Moved to Southern Utah and started Cedar City Web Design to do the same thing for small businesses — build real websites with clean code, solid security, and actual results. No templates, no WordPress themes, no layers of account managers between you and the person doing the work.
Twenty-plus years in, 100+ websites built, and I still answer my own phone.
Meet the Business Owner: David S.
Hey — I'm David, and I run Cedar City Web Design out of the Cedar City area. I build websites and run SEO for small businesses across Southern Utah and statewide.
What keeps me in this after 20 years is pretty simple: I like building things that work. Not things that look impressive in a screenshot but fall apart under the hood. Not things held together by 47 plugins that need updating every week. Clean code, fast sites, real rankings — that's the work I care about.
I got into this because I saw too many small business owners getting sold websites they didn't own, couldn't update, and couldn't leave. That's not how it should work. When I build something for you, you own all of it — the code, the domain, the hosting, the analytics. No hostage situations.
If you're a small business owner in Southern Utah who's tired of the runaround, give me a call. You'll talk to me — not a sales rep.
