Ordered a roof rack and camper topper rack. Got wrong size topper rack, sent back on my dime $175 then they charged a restocking fee $200 and issued a credit for remaining balance. Can't use the credit because they don't respond to text or emails or voicemail. I've been chasing this for 7 months now. Still no answers or calls back. If I didn't already have the roof rack installed I wouldn't have anything from CBI Off-road. Zero customer service reply and I call every week. Don't buy anything from them! read more

Honestly, cancer moves faster than anything this company does. I put in an order weeks before I needed the item. It took 19 days alone for them to even create a shipping label. Then!, fedex has been holding o to the shipment for almost two weeks now. Still haven't received my package. Now I don't have the parts for a trip that I had planned out long ago. Roof rack arrived, the box was intact. That was the best I can say. Aluminum spacers missing from the sealed parts bag. This is a required part, I called four times, nobody answered, I was sent to voicemail, no response to my voice mail messages. I emailed and was sent a link to missing parts. The site would not take my information. I drove to several parts stores in my town and not one carried the missing part. Finally someone from customer service emailed me and promised to have someone else call me to resolve my issue. Phone rang and I got a recorded message about their products. What??? I don't need more products I need missing parts. There were no written instructions in the box. I downloaded a pdf file from their website. I have assembled many items over the years and these instructions are of little or no help. Youtube saved the day, not the company posting on youtube, but other installers. The company seems well intentioned, but they need to QC their parts before shipping, include detailed installation instructions with pictures and answer their phones. read more

I purchased my 2024 SR5 Sequoia with the TRD off road package from my local Toyota dealership. I love my truck, but it didn't have any recovery contacts in its factory bumper. My Toyota dealership informed me that CBI was very Toyota friendly and that they had excellent engineers. I purchased the covert bumper with bull bar. However, it didn't have any modifications for my original fog lights which I lost when I switched out my factory bumper. I could have straight wired a light bar to a remote toggle switch. But I wanted to use my stock light switch for my fog lights. I purchased 2 NOV SIGHT 3 inch fog pods and wired them to my factory switch. I also used 2 industrial strength magnets per pod to attach them in the covert bumper ports. Works like a dream! Great bumper guys!! The how to videos were spot on! Would definitely use CBI again!! They are incredibly high quality (materials, welds and finish), and their products all fit perfectly. They're definitely not cheap, but you get what you pay for. Still waiting on my order and customer service is terrible. Lead times are lies and they don't seem to care. Waiting on a front bumper that was said to be 12 week lead time, I call on the 13th week and they cannot give me any type of eta. Doesn't make much sense , they present a lead time yet cannot deliver. How hard is it to be decent to a customer spending several thousand on their products and they can't even be provide info to when they will actually get their product. I called 4 times, 2 times I spoke with someone and then they hung up on me, the last 2 times all I got was it wasn't ready and then they hung up on me provided with zero info on eta. Great customer service!!! Tracy handle my few minor issues while placing my order. Computers are not perfect and new systems sometimes need a minute or two to work them out. I had some specific request on pick up locations, install requests, timing multiple schedules together. She handled all issues with ease and could not have been more friendly on the phone, and quick. This is my second order with them over the years and they didn't let me down last time and got even better it looks like, didn't think that was possible these days. Their products have stood the test of time no issues and can't wait for my new installs to get on and to get out there! Thank You CBI for everything, outstanding service to a nobody customer. I ordered a non drill Prinsu roof rack for a 5th Gen 4runner. The item was processed quickly and actually came faster than the lead time listed on the website. Upon opening the rack I noticed that they sent the drill version when I ordered the no. Drill. I emailed CBI and the next day they responded and let me know they had sent the new rails along with prepaid postage for the return of the other rails. Although they made a mistake they made up for it with their no hassle customer service. I appreciate their efforts in correcting the issue and am happy with the product. Terrible lead times. Don't order based on their current lead times. It won't happen. Ordered $8k worth of merchandise in December with a showing time of April. Didn't receive my shipment til July. Had to cancel a trip I had planned with those lead times(and extra wiggle room) in mind. Customer service is horrible, you get the runaround with promises to call within 48 hours...which never happens. The products themselves are top notch. Super happy with them. If you have time to spare and the patience of a saint, go ahead and order. Just don't expect much on the customer service side of things when you think they've certainly lost your order. Unless you're a high roller, build contest winner or a social media influencer don't get your hopes up for an on time delivery. Steer clear until they get their shit together. read more

CBI is not a good company to order any off-road products from. They have horrible customer service and even worse communication. I put an order in for a product (still waiting to get built) and it went on sale. I asked if I could get a refund for the small difference from the retail price I paid and they said no. They basically told me to cancel my order and reorder it. They also said I would lose my place in line and get pushed to the back of the list. Save your time and money and buy elsewhere! I ordered tundra skid plate expecting it by February and looks like I will receive past march and all they said is that the are low on welders, that their lead times are an estimate and there's nothing they can do about it. Just got my front/ rear bumper, fuel skid, and ditch light brackets installed this week on my Tacoma. Lead time wasn't bad at all for the amount I ordered. Delivered on time with no issues and quality beyond expectations. Install went smooth and easy and the customer service during the whole process really humbled me. Great people from start to finish that made a nobody customer like me feel like number one. That alone is something I'm not used to. Quality install all the way around. You can see they love their job and take pride in their product and their installs. If you have the opportunity to pay for them to do the install VS paying a shipping company to ship it to ya (cbi doesn't make any money shipping it, working in a similar industry I know) you WONT be disappointed! I really hate to do this but I'm left with no choice. I'm currently waiting at 24 weeks for a bumper that was listed at 12 weeks lead time. To this day I have received no emails from CBI letting me know my order would be delayed or there were any issues. I have to either call or email to get any answer. After the first 3 responses I realized they were just leading me on. Other than covid, no real explanations. They even said that they didn't have an address which was supplied 3 months ago. I'm beyond furious, they don't take any complaints serious and there's still no end in sight for when I will get my bumper. After reading similar complaints, it seems this is common practice for them. Save your money and time and take your business elsewhere!
