It feels like a step back in time...If you are expecting a modern, fancy hotel, you will be sorry. If you are looking for a clean, comfortable place to get some rest, the Molly Morgan does just that, The check in procedure was very easy, and the staff very friendly. We were even given a little bottle of milk to go with the in room tea of coffee. Rooms were straight out of the 60's or 70's with some updates. Newer TV's and Heating/Air Con systems. Carpet was old and a little worn. One of the lights above the bed didn't work. The room and bathroom were clean and the mattress comfortable. The AC was a little noisy but kept the room cool. The rooms did have a microwave, coffee pot, toaster, and fridge. There is supposed to be a restaurant on site but the hours are very random, but there are plenty of places nearby to get something to eat. If the AC had been quieter and if all the lights had worked, I would have rated it a little higher. If you just need a place to get some rest, stop by the Molly Morgan.

They are also walking distance to the hunter valley village shops and gardens so easy to get to and really convenient too.

Queen bed was very comfortable for both sitting and sleeping, we didn't get to that other option beds are used for... ;) Check in was a little confusing as there is no front desk for the hotel part so you actually check in,pay and get your room key at the bar in the pub's main area. Once again, it is part of a pub and they serve your standard pub/comfort food but bookings seem to be essential. we were there on a saturday night and and every table was booked. There is a tiny section available for walk-ins, but that was also full by 6pm Very quiet and great for the sunday morning sleep in we both needed after a 30th bday the night before. Would stay again.
