My original complaint was consistent mid-back stiffness and tightness. Starting with Dr. Josh and his recommendation for Corrective Care, I was taught stretches and exercises along with the adjustments to help speed up the corrective process, it has worked amazingly! I also have started using the orthodics that were recommended to me and they have made a difference and have become an improvement to my everyday routine. I've noticed a big difference in my exercise routine and sports play. I am also happy to say I am sleeping much better since starting this program. I had my consultation yesterday and although it took longer than I thought the staff and Doctor were great. Very friendly at the front desk which is always nice. The doctors are knowledgeable and aren't trying to make you sign up or do anything you don't want to do. I really loved that I was being heard and understood on what I was feeling and what I would like to have fixed. I had been having shoulder/neck pain with headaches for weeks now with pain that medicine would only dull. I had my first chiropractic appointment with Dr. Josh and although I wasn't expecting any quick fixes, for the first time in weeks I felt relief. I had not been to many chiropractors before and was a little nervous about the process but Dr. Josh was great and very thorough in his evaluation while explaining what he did as he went along. There was even a short orientation video at the start of the visit where he went over a bit of the anatomy of the spine and his methodology. My first visit was fast, efficient, informative, and resulted in scheduling to come back to get my results. My second appointment, arrived at 9am to a near empty office (one other person). They were seen and left.. I continued to wait. At 9:50 I finally could no longer wait and had to leave... I could see the doctors moving about the office and as I continued to wait I was not checked on, updated, or regarded about why there was such a delay. Do I think they know what they are doing? Absolutely. Will I be going back? Absolutely not. Even if my appointment was for 9:30, twenty minutes past it when there is literally an empty office is unacceptable. (The rest added after Dr. Josh responded) The receptionist called me to reschedule... hours for Wednesday and Friday are still 9-12. As they were when I made my appointment as they are posted on your door. You were in the office. You adjusted a patient, then did a first visit on another. You were even informed that I was there for a second visit by Trinity the girl who started today (June 14th). Coming to UTC Chiropractic was already out of my way and inconvenient but when the result is like this and the accountability is blamed on "office hours changing" it makes the business look disingenuous. read more

I found Dr. Caldwell's office via Facebook, and was so glad I did! I was new to the San Diego area and I only wish I had come in sooner for corrective care. Over the course of 3 visits, I got a consultation, X-rays, nerve scans, results overview, and two adjustments. I was so nervous about the results of my injured mid-to-lower back from a couple years ago and the intermittent pain I would still get with it but Dr. Caldwell reassured me that my back pain can be corrected after reviewing my X-rays and scans together. This gave me hope and I was able to relax. Dr. Caldwell was thorough, highly informative, and incredibly dedicated to what he does and helping his patients with care and respect. I learned so much! How great is that to also learn new things from an experienced clinical profesional vs just being told what your diagnosis is and leaving with more questions than when you had arrived. I even brought my notebook to my second appointment just so I can write everything down that Dr. Caldwell told me so that I don't forget or miss anything. I was very appreciative of the fact that he and his office manager Emma made me feel comfortable. I would think ppl would call me a nerd or weird or make a "face" for bringing in a notebook to their doctor's visit lol but that wasn't the case at UTC so it was definitely a pleasant experience. The office manager Emma, is very sweet and helpful, responds quick to any questions and concerns, and made the appointments process a breeze! Also, the office was not hard to find. From the moment you walk into the office you'll see that it's clean, modern, kept sanitized after each patient, all staff wear masks, and there's great music! There's enough gap between each patient being scheduled, so I liked that there was social distancing and we were all protected. Dr. Caldwell even went above and beyond with even offering to help me find the best Chiropractor in another state that I was moving to to ensure that I would get the help that I needed. He definitely doesn't want to see any of his patients left in any pain and that truly shows how empathetic and caring he is. In my opinion, this office is great. I come here regularly and their team is very professional and you can tell they know what they're doing. One thing I love about it is that they're quick and efficient . You won't spend all day waiting for an appointment but when you do come in the doctor asks questions to personalize your adjustment to maximize the benefits you're receiving. My first impression of the doctor is that you can tell he cares for his patients and is still very professional. When I first came here I wasn't expecting such a detailed review but I'm thankful the doctor went through a thorough explanation of my results with me and showed me the care that could really help me and the pain I was having. I recently had a bad crash while skiing. My left ski did not detach from my boot so I twisted my knee and ankle and fell on my right side. It has been bothering me since and I knew I needed adjustment right away. I scheduled a long over due appointment at UTC Chiropractic and was accommodated the same day. Everyone is professional and the place is clean and sanitary. I felt so refreshed and brand new after my adjustment. This was my first time going to a Chiropractor and I was pretty freaked out about it cause I'm not a big fan of my bones getting cracked but my neck had been killing me for months and Ibuprofen just wasn't doing it for me. I tried massage, acupuncture and every possible thing but Chiropractic in hopes that I wouldn't have to get my neck snapped. But here I was at the Chiropractor's Office doing what I was hoping I didn't have to. I'm all about going natural, but I sit at a desk most of the day and couldn't take the pain anymore. So I found this place on Yelp and thought what the hell. They had a pretty good website and I've seen this guy on Facebook a few times, so I scheduled an appointment online which was really easy. I was able to get in the next morning. To my surprise, it was a pretty legit operation they had going. I got X-rays, a postural exam, some type of nerve scan machine and a traditional joint exam like my primary Doctor gives. I think I was expecting to see someone burning sage or rolling up in a toga. I was really impressed with how thorough the examination process and Dr. Caldwell was really cool and very professional. He wasn't pushy or trying to convince me I needed years of care. So as far as the adjustment went, holy shit, that was crazy. I had no idea my body could make noises like that. I wasn't sure at the time if it felt good or not cause I think I was in a small state of shock. It definitely wasn't painful but it startled the hell out of me. Dr. Caldwell did his best to ease my tension by cracking jokes, but there was no breaking my concentration. Maybe not the best way to receive any type of therapy, but it's hard when someone is about to go Chuck Norris on you. Anyway, maybe it was Voo Doo or some type of Hypnotism, but I did feel better almost immediately. I was really shocked cause my neck hasn't had that much relief in a long time. Felt lick 10 pounds of pressure was released from my neck and shoulders. I scheduled one more appointment to review my X-rays and test results and he showed me everything going on and why my neck was in so much pain. He offered me a couple different treatment plans and the option to pay per visit, but said in my situation, I probably wouldn't need many adjustments to be back to normal. Apparently my spine wasn't as bad as I thought. Either way, if you're on the fence about seeing a Chiro cause you're scared they might snap you in half, don't be. It's a little scary at first, but that's mostly just in your head. Dr. Caldwell is gentle but effective and I would have no problem getting adjusted in the future.
