Our tech was delayed for his morning appointment, and we were called immediately to reschedule, still on the same day. The tech was able to diagnose the problem within 15 minutes and show us the part needed to get it all working again. In addition, he recommended putting new tie-downs on the outside compressors to adhere to windstorm regulations. He had one set of tie-downs, but not both, so another appointment was arranged for the second set. I was unfamiliar with the pricing scheme that AAA used (parts are priced to include labor), and was unhappy with that, so AAA was able to explain in writing how they arrived at their numbers, and to give me a new invoice more in accordance with what this yankee girl is used to (the prices are reasonable considering the expertise of the techs). All in all, I would recommend AAA not only for emergencies, but for preventative work. I intend to get a quote from them when we need to replace our aging units.

If your have repair work only, I would inquire what the cost per hour for labor. for that job and how long it would take. I wonder how many other customers that they did the same thing of over charging. There is only one reason they have no hourly rate, so they can charge any amount.

I asked if tech could come back to recheck it and he said they would charge 100 again for the visit. 20 minute job $100 and my parents would have to pay again because he said more than likely, a spider or roach crawled in right after the tech flushed it, because it's hot and their looking for water. Same story. I give the Cool Guys a call, leave a message and get a phone call back in less than 5 minutes of my message. Unfortunately they are also super busy and can't come until Tuesday morning. I have two elderly parents, one with a heart condition. I have two young children, one with a heart condition as well. We have pets. It's south Texas. Okay someone finally calls back and says they can come Sunday 9 am. Tech arrives, assesses the issue and promised to return the next day with a part. We call back Monday morning for a status update. Still no ETA, someone should be there by end of day. I've called 6 times today as of 7:30 pm and still no one can give me an actual answer. My mother has been waiting for two and a half hours in our house that has now reached 95 degrees, waiting for someone who may or may not call or show up! At this point I am very upset. I chose this company because they seemed legit, their name is Rescue and they have not come to our rescue. Horrible chain of communication! My situation called for complete removal of all existing cellulose insulation, resealing of all ceiling boxes, electrical conduits, HVAC ducts, control, power and refrigerant lines and brand new insulation. In addition, they sealed in a patio area that had insulation issues as well. A small leak was discovered in the roof after insulation removal. Philip drove over hour round-trip to his house and brought back metal roofing mastic. I was able to repair the roof and have piece of mind. Work was validated by an infrared camera and hot spots were identified / treated with additional sealing and insulation. In terms of results: Humidity has dropped on average between 8-10% due to sealing (see before and after photo) Rate of heat gain has also dropped substantially (see before and after photo) In addition, I took temp readings of the ceiling drywall: Before - 8 degrees difference in the hottest rooms of the house After - 2 degrees different or less in the hottest rooms of the house Lastly, Philip and the crew added extra insulation over the garage, cleaned and sealed the outside patio with no up charge. The crew also did a great job of clean up and removed an entire dumpsters worth of trash (from previous projects) at no additional cost. The crew showed up on time and finished when they said they would. I received regular updates and photos on a continuous basis. I was also able to do a 'crawl' through with the crew on several occasions. These guys are the real deal and a unicorn when it comes to finding good people.
