(We kinda gave up on them after being to so many). We happened upon this place. Thank god we did. The Owner of the shop Thomas Trucy, ushered us in like old friends. Little did we know, we would become nearly best friends by the time we left. Not only is he friendly, he speaks perfect English (wIthout making you feel like a tourist), he is witty, and very knowledgeable about his wines. His shop holds a great collection, anywhere from 12 Euros up to who knows, but he will never push you to buy something you wouldn't like, or just because it is super expensive. He asks you what you enjoy drinking first. Have you ever heard a french shop owner compare one of their inventory items to an Oregon Pinot? Not likely, but he did and he was right on the money of what we were looking for. His location is in the perfect parking spot for walking around Dijon as well. We went back the next day, just to tell him about the wine he recommended the day before, and the rest is history. We still talk overseas, and we plan on using him to get hard to find wines in the States to ship here. At least we can pretend we are in France when they arrive. Please visit his shop the next time you are near Dijon, you will not be disappointed!!!

I did not know what to expect, but so glad we did it!! I sure agree now, that this is the #1 thing to do in Beaune!! A passionate, knowledgeable, and welcoming husband and wife team introduces you to Burgundy wine, about the region, how to read wine labels, "how to taste Burgundy wines", and food paring. The blind tasting was super fun!! It was the most interesting, educational and fun, eye-opening experience. This is not your typical "wine tasting." I recommend you do this first (when you arrive in Burgundy). The knowledge you'll gain from this tasting experience will benefit the rest of your wine trip in Beaune and Burgundy. We bought a few bottles and they waived the tasting fees, but I believe its only about $10-15, for 3-hour class. (For the value, that's a super bargain!). Reservation is highly recommended. I believe the only way to make a reservation is to call them directly. They speak English so it was super easy and hassle-free to make an appointment by phone.
