When they actually have food to pick from it is good. They are always out of something and usually more than one thing. Seems ridiculous to me. It is like that all hours of service here. I have been multiple times now and still not impressed. I will not return to this location due to the lack of cleanliness and customer service. I understand young adults might not be experienced but they should be trained. The eye rolls and bad attitudes are not necessary. Seems like they are constant confused and overwhelmed. These guys have good food but can't seem to get an order right to save their life. Called them 30 seconds after placing an order to ask them to put the dressing on the side. Not sure what is going on with the Frisco Cava Location but management needs to pay closer attention to this location. It has now been 3 times that I go and they either don't have falafel, avocado or something else. A restaurant with this amount of traffic should by now be able to keep up with its demand. Excellent! First time here and I'm so sad we don't have one close! I had grains and greens with roasted veggies and chicken.

Menu online looked fresh and appealing. However, the restaurant is dirty and the dining area is even dirtier. The setup is similar to a Mediterranean Chipotle. The food has been in the bins too long and they scrap the bottom of too many bins to prepare your food which means you're getting food that has been sitting out for awhile. Taste of food was good. Grilled chicken was horrible! It's thigh meat not breast and it's full of joint pieces and gristle. Hummus was great and lemon vinaigrette was excellent. Expected better experience. Tried CAVA for the first time today and.....wow!!!! It was sooo delicious! It's basically a Mediterranean style chipotle. Tons of variety for dietary options. Today I tried a greens + grains bowl with grilled chicken and spicy lamb meatballs. The meatballs weren't spicy at all but still delicious! They also had beef meatballs which is a nice option as well. So many different topping options and a great portion for around $10-11. Can't beat that! I'll definitely be back very often read more

I don't understand what is going on with this place. One star for the tasty food, but the rest is a mess. My pickup orders are consistently 30-45 minutes behind and come out incorrect. They're also always out of ingredients. They need to hire more people here. I don't understand why they don't halt online orders or give later pickup times when they invariably get backed up. I get takeout almost every night and never have this problem with anywhere else in town. Cava is consistently inconsistent. I've given this place way too many tries, because the food is good and the workers are very nice but I'll have to give it a year or so and hope things get ironed out. read more

I can't find anyway to get a refund or get what we ordered. USE CAUTION IF YOU HAVE TO EAT GLUTEN FREE We were doing errands last weekend and got hungry. I remembered seeing Cava promoted on a local gluten free facebook page so suggested that we stop and try it. I approached the counter and told the young lady that I had celiac and needed her help making sure my order was gluten free. She told me "everything we have is gluten free". I thought I remembered reading that wasn't the case. I asked her if I could see a menu. She told me that they didn't have any right now and repeated that everything was gluten free. I said, I'm sure the pita bread isn't gluten free, right? And she said again with a bit of an attitude, "EVERYTHING is gluten free". So I ordered the lemon chicken bowl and a side of pita. After a few bites I started feeling a bit off so I went online and found the menu and realized nothing I ordered was gluten free. I went back to the counter and inquired again. She walked away. Another employee heard me and came over. After some discussion they went in the back and asked about the pita bread. Then a very nice young man came over and apologized saying my order was not gluten free at all. He showed me how to tell what was and wasn't gluten free based on the little stickers displayed on the glass. Then he led me through remaking a gluten free option. This was a totally unacceptable experience. Use caution and don't ever trust the people behind the counter to tell you what is and isn't safe. read more

I can only give this location 1 star. I've been here several times and usually order ahead on their website. Every time I come here I end up waiting 20-30 minutes PAST the expected ready time. I am always so frustrated because the people walking in get their orders and leave while those who order ahead keep waiting. We love CAVA food, but will not be back due to the terrible service. My daughter ordered 5 meals for our family and I had lamb meat balls. It was the worst takeout this summer. Meat balls were dry and leathery. The pitta bread was also dry and seemed to be days old. Came here the first time two weeks after opening and it was AWESOME. Great service and food. Did a curbside pickup tonight that was supposed to be ready at 6. I pulled up at 6 and called to tell them I was there. I waited for 25 minutes before deciding to call again and check on it and the girl told me verbatim "oh I don't think it's ready yet but it should be ready soon and we'll bring it out." The manager then walks out and asks me my name of the of the order and I tell him that I've been waiting for 6 so he goes to check and brings out my order no more than 1 minute later. It was ready the whole time and as expected, my food was brick cold. Please train your employees. I understand they haven't been open long but this was ridiculous. read more

I love Cava, but this location is a literal disaster, like the epitome of laziness and bad management. They NEVER have online orders ready on time- last time I went there were no other customers even in the store and my order still wasn't ready. Then by the time someone comes out to help me, all she does is sass me about checking the shelf (which I had already done) before more guests walked in. They made about 7 guest orders before they even touched my online order placed 20 minutes ago. Then after they made it, they just left it sitting there for an additional 5 minutes even though I was standing there waiting and the girl who made it was just aimlessly wondering around behind the counter. There was food all over the floor behind the counter. They were out of almost every drink- and I paid extra for a large online and the teenager working just told me "sorry we only have small cups." Fully staffed but the teenagers that work here don't care and clearly management doesn't either. Even though I live in Frisco I will be making the drive to the Plano location instead. The Cava at Legacy West is 1000x better service and quality. read more

My wife placed a mobile order under her name and I went to go pick it up for her. Her first time eating here. Pick up time was 5pm and I arrived at 508pm. When I asked someone on the status of the order, they mentioned there was one mobile order ahead of hers. No one else was waiting for a mobile order. I asked for the manager at 515pm and mentioned what I was already told. He finished making the order and asked me if I was there for anyone else's order as he assumed I was an Uber or DoorDash delivery person. When I told him it was for my wife he became very apologetic. During this entire time by the way, multiple customers walked in and got their food made. When I got home it was discovered they forgot to put the side dressings in the container. The food was also ice cold and there was questionable pieces of chicken. I attempted to call the store multiple times and got a voicemail that was full, so I was unable to leave a message. I have been coming to this location for years before I recently moved to McKinney. Today my encounter was very odd and left me feeling uncomfortable and not wanting to return to this location. I had ordered half meatball and half chicken, as I have in the past Just with an extra meatball and specified that I was willing to pay extra for it. I was told that I couldn't do that and they were under new management, they proceeded to explain that I can only order a full order of protein only or half meat and half veggie. Not fully understanding what was meant, I asked that if I could order half meatball and half chicken. The manager interjected proceeding to escalate her voice in a micro aggressive tone stating that I couldn't order extra meatballs (which was not exactly what I was asking clarification on). The unnecessary tone of the manager kind of escalated the situation prompting the other employees to repeat exactly what she said right after her in defense, it made it appear as though I was being difficult for seeking clarification of their changes. I was humiliated and was made to feel that I was prejudged that I would be angry because they told me no and corrected me with my order when I was very easy going. I even instructed the young lady (not the manager) who I was speaking to the entire time that it was fine and she may remove however many necessary so that I may have half and half instead. The entire experience was very odd and embarrassing, I will never return to this location. I gave two stars for the two employees that apologized for the awkward ordeal. When leaving, I could hear one of the employees apologizing to the manager, when the manager is the only individual that escalated things. read more

My experience at this location today was disappointing. Ana helped me today and things started off well until I asked for more of the roasted veggies. You see the roasted veggies were charred/burnt and I wanted enough to pick out some edible pieces. After she gave me half a scoop more of the clearly burnt veggies, she informs me that she cannot give me a full portion of the chicken I am paying a surcharge for. I did not understand the logic behind this penalty especially when I pointed out to Ana that the items she served me were not normal and I wanted to pick out the edible pieces. In addition to this, they were out of serval of the toppings and dressings. Ana told me they were out because they had a busy day. Does that mean that at 10 am tomorrow I will have the same options? It is doubtful they will open tomorrow with only 33% of the normal toppings available. I am hoping this was just a fluke and they will improve their level of customer service. read more
