Great course with a lot of challenges! I play there in the Senior league every week and with my better half mid-week.

Found the course in great shape for early in the year --- played all three nine hole courses. Great value for the money

The superintendent, Jesse Rosco, does a fantastic job. The course is easier than where i came from, but offers some challenging holes with water and doglegs. The last few holes offer beautiful views over Big Stone Lake. I'm so glad this area has such a fantastic golf course.

Ah, the Ortonville Muni. I've been golfing here for years, 15+ to be exact, so I feel qualified to…read moreoffer a fair review. At one point in time USA Today rated this a top public course in MN, and they hang their hat on it as it is still on a plaque in the clubhouse. I've met some people from Minneapolis that come here to play. Maybe to try a USA Today rated course? Maybe to get away from the busy courses in the metro area? In any event, the course is well known. The past few years they have really improved the course. Fairways are actually noticable now, the annoying bushes once used as yard markers are gone, they have cut down some trees to make playability better, and have replaced many of the "gravel bunkers" with real sand. I would still like to see the black and white stake at 150 yds though. Are you reading this Ortonville??? FYI....most courses have this. The greens are small and normally fast, and lots of trees. Pines, big and bushy, are on many fairways. If you go in them, you will post a big number. If you can hit it straight, it will be an easy round for you. For a small little lake town like Ortonville, it's a nice, fun course.
