For any animal lover, a charity shopping spree would not be complete without stopping here. Donations are patchy, with most people giving more to the human focused charities further up North Street, but when people do give, the items are quickly processed and presented for sale at very reasonable prices, so you often find a nice little bargain. The shop is run by several very sweet old ladies, who you can easily imagine owning four cats each, and they are more than happy to talk about cats, so it's clear that the charity matters to them, instead of just being a job. Be sure to stop and have a look at the window display, which advertises lost cats in the area, as well as cats needing new homes, and the occasional litter of accidental kittens. The shop was quite run down at one point, but new efforts have been made, and it is now a pleasant place to stop and have a look around. read more
