Pam, her assistant, is equally pleasant and extremely competent. I've been contacted by phone and email with test results. All my appointments have been on time with the exception of this last one. The office is clean and tastefully decorated which one would expect in La Jolla. I really like Dr. Buchi and would highly recommend her to my friends and family. BTW I think its extremely uncool to give such a low rating to a business because you don't like the person that answers the phone. IMO Dr. Buchi is a 5-star service provider. Where should I start... After my early miscarriage last…read moreyear, I was devastated. I was trying to find an OB who was willing to offer extra care and tests before trying to conceive again. Other OBs did not think it was necessary since I was young and it was "only" my first miscarriage. I was too scared to try again until someone recommended Dr. Cobb. Dr. Cobb respects and truly understands my concerns, and he was willing to take extra steps to ensure my pregnancy was closely monitored. He made me feel that I had a certain level of control over my pregnancy, rather than simply being instructed. During delivery, my baby's heart rate was unstable for five hours, and I was unable to make further progress after reaching eight centimeters dilation. I asked whether it was time for an emergency C section. Dr. Cobb eased my mind and placed additional monitors to carefully track my baby's heart rate. My baby boy was ultimately delivered safely through a vaginal birth. I feel incredibly blessed to have had him as my OB throughout this pregnancy. Every visit made me feel respected, well cared for, and reassured. I would recommend him to everyone in San Diego!

Those working at the front office are always courteous and over time they even remembered me and I was always greeted with a "Good Morning Beautiful". When I was on time for my appointments I never waited more than 5 minutes. However, if you are late expect to wait a bit as they will see the people who were on time first, which is completely understandable. It's not their fault I was late. Azar, the Nurse Practitioner is a complete sweetheart. She does everything so that you are as comfortable as possible and will even call you on her off hours to follow up and make sure you are ok. And I couldn't have asked for a better experience than I had with Dr. Nelson. I unfortunately had to have surgery, but was I fortunate that she was my doctor. She walked me through every option, and explained every detail to me. On the day of the surgery she took the time to come in early and spoke to both my parents to put them at ease. Even though there were small complications, everything went smoothly with minimal scarring. The next morning she was in my room at 8 am checking to see how I was doing, explaining to me everything that took place, and ensuring I knew how to take care of myself once I got home. This was the first time I had ever had a serious health issue and I am so happy that it was the team at Scripps and Dr. Nelson that took care of me.
