When you decide to get married the legal stuff is a bit scary. That's probably why it's there. And knowing who should do it for you is not always clear-cut. I mean, what does the "ceremony" part have to be anyway?
We got lucky in so many ways with our wedding and long-time friend Cath Bathe-Taylor just happened to be a marriage celebrant. She was so perfect for us in every way and guided us through the technicalities of the process in a really relaxed way, making it easy for us to understand. She listened to what we wanted then made suggestions to fit around that. And then didn't stress when we were last minute getting our vows to her.
She understands the process and is a lovely person to have involved on your big day, with a caring and supportive energy that takes all the pressure off that most important part - actually getting hitched. I would totally recommend her to anyone not wanting a traditional religious service (or heck, even if you do I'm sure she'd be great) but needing a total professional to trust with such an important thing. read more
