My companions and I decided to go for the place because one of us has been here a lot during studies. Easy going people working there, very friendly! The food: so much!!!! But yum, if you want to get a real traditional/heavy dinner! No one of us could finish it but believe me we tried.. I checked in here, because I want to come back and get a second session next time I'm in Rotterdam!

Very bad service. We came here on a Tuesday night, and the only other customers were women knitting…read moreand they only ordered tea. There was enough staff working, but for some reason our waitress ignored us for most of the night!! The dinner took about two and a half hours, even though we only ordered an appetizer and an entree. The food was mediocre...other than the calamari appetizer. That was pretty good! I ordered the Wiener schnitzel for dinner and it was the worst, driest I've ever had. I would NOT recommend going here. The only reason why I am giving De Dijk 2 stars instead of one is because it was my birthday and we brought in a cake, and they kindly presented it to me with a nice candle
