I called on Friday and there was no available appointments so I was told to call in on Saturday morning starting at 8 am. My call was placed on hold and the receptionist returned to the phone at 8:04 am and I was told no available appointments. Of course I was upset and if I wanted my pet to be seen, I would have to drive to Auburn. Nevertheless, I scheduled an appointment for Monday the 29th. I received an email that appointment was for 8 am. I got to the clinic and the receptionist informed me her appointment was not until 2:30 pm. I was able to show the email and get my dog seen. Thanks to the receptionist, Dr. May and Tech Paige for getting my dog seen this morning and treating her bilateral ear infection. My recommendation is to look at how the Saturday appointments are made because I had to medicate my dog for several days before she could be seen in her regular clinic. Mary G.

I had to make the absolutely gut wrenching decision to put my sweet almost 17 year old yorkie down a couple weeks ago. Unfortunately Dr. Tatum was not in that day but Dr. Lewis handled it. I just didn't feel any warmth or compassion from the office staff members at all. Nobody said 'sorry for your loss' or 'she was a good dog' or even looked up from their computers when the euthanasia was complete and I was leaving. I realize that people have to become desensitized to the death of pets when working in the field, however, my dog had been a patient for over 10 years at their office. That was one of the absolute hardest days of my life and nobody was even bothered enough to see a sobbing person and say 'sorry for your loss.' I will miss Dr. Tatum himself but when the time comes to find a new vet, I will be using a different practice. Bottom line: if you're looking for compassionate end of life care, please research this thoroughly as this was unfortunately not my experience with the current staff.

Our time with him is dwindling down and, as hard as it will be, there is some comfort in knowing we will be able to call Dr. Carey to come to our home so that our old boy will be as comfortable as possible as we love him through crossing over the rainbow bridge.
