THE LOCATION is west midtown, parking was either valet or find a space on the street... we ended up on some side street, but it was fine. THE CROWD was kinda awesome. Very diverse and traditionally artsy folks... with some hipsters and regulars mixed in. It was a little too crowded though, they had a cash bar with beer only. Beer? Beer? Really though... a little Trader Joe's wine would have went a long way. THE ART was cool. One artist created prints using the word "word". Another merged body parts in symmetry creating a landscape via ink/pen. These seem to be those independent do what I want, I think this would be cool art school kinda artist if that makes any sense. You know the kids who dye there hair blue or pink or purple... thats this crowd. Prices for art was in the $3000 range on average for the bigger works. I may have saw a few pieces that were a couple hundred (lets say $300ish range) Overall, good vibes, cool art, interesting people, huge crowd, nice space... I'll probably always give art galleries no less than a 4 even if I wanted to.

I've spent some time here, at shows, and hanging out. What a gem. Yu-Kai and his staff, have begun to spin a web that may actually foster an art community in Atlanta. That would be a first since the demise of ACA. Stop in some time. Take in what's on the walls. Talk to the staff. Ask for a cup of coffee. These people are intelligent, and nice. An amazingly refreshing venue in our often disconnected city!

My only previous experience with the gallery has been annoyance at the 2 prime reserved spots they've got in the Octane parking lot. Yes, they deserve these spots, but when I'm lugging a giant ancient computer and feeling lazy, I have certainly shaken my fist at them before. The space itself is beautiful, and quite fitting for Corinne's oversized work. There is one main room that is large enough that you can appreciate each piece individually but yet intimate enough to see everything as a whole collection. There's also a small room at the front which is a great spot for smaller pieces, as there's not enough room to really step back and see something big, but it has great light. This isn't a gallery I'd necessarily recommend for private events (they don't have nice bathrooms or the right layout like spots like Kai Lin) but it's definitely worth a spot, or at least a peek in the windows to see what great local artist they may be featuring.

The place was packed with what I called the Haves and the Have Nots, but the diversity of the crowd did little to spoil the evening. Maybe it was the two models holding champagne trays as you entered the door. That did it for me if no one else. I saw old friends greet and hug, and newbies mingle with others over what I think is being called the galleries most provocative exhibition yet. There was other art to view, and one of these days, when I either hit the lottery or get a hold to the trust fund, I'm sure has been hidden from me, I will surely return and buy several pieces. Primarily, I think I'd rather hire Harriett out and have her do a DeeDee version of the "Pass the Salt" photograph that was hanging here. This gallery is in a building with other galleries, so it's similar to salon suites. They have used their space wisely though and have beautiful pieces on display. We were greeted and offered assistance ups on entry. A lot of the artwork was pricey, like in the tens of thousands of dollars, but I expected nothing less.

We got…read morethere a little late so didn't have too much time but was still able to see the majority of the museum with a quick pace. Kind staff, great exhibits, architecture and art. I really enjoyed the various rooms and variety from impressionists to modern and everything in between. Would definitely add this museum to my Atlanta itinerary.

I especially enjoyed the mix of contemporary and classic works, and the building itself is beautiful with plenty of natural light. We visited on a weekend afternoon and found it busy but still comfortable to navigate. There were plenty of benches throughout for taking a break and really appreciating the artwork. I'd recommend this for a date, solo afternoon, or when you have visitors in town. My biggest tip would be to check the special exhibitions before your visit since they can be a major highlight. Definitely one of Atlanta's gems.
