Everyone got along fine and we were all set to board our pups when my wife took ill and couldn't make the trip. I went without her and she was home with our dogs. Flash forward to December. We went to Las Vegas for 3 nights and left Tango and Jack with Mike and Beth. Communication was good and Mike sent us emails with photos and even a short video. The dogs are our "babies" and although we missed them very much, it did a lot to ease our minds about the care they were receiving while we were gone. I can highly recommend Mike and Beth of Howling Good Dog Boarding to anyone who needs to board a fuzzy family member. Now that we've found them, we will always leave the care of our dogs to them when we go out of town. Thank you Mike and Beth for taking such good care of our "boys."

Mike was great about sending me video & picture updates while we were on our trip. He's very knowledgeable about dogs, answered all my questions and my dog, Ozzie left happy and worn out! I felt MUCH better about leaving my best buddy in Mike's hands than at a big boarding facility where there's SO many dogs, so much potential for accidents, and not personalized to your dog. Mike is also insured (for peace of mind) and understands that dogs have quirks (mine has food allergies & separation anxiety). I'd give him 10 stars, if I could! We will be back!

I just got a new pup a week ago and decided to take advantage of Kennelwood's free pet sleepover…read more It's a great deal as it includes your choice of an (enrichment bundle or day camp bundle), a bath, and a detailed report. I called and made a reservation for Thursday and arranged to pick him up Friday. I dropped him off at 7 on Thursday and checking in was fairly-simple. It appeared that there was a mix up because although I sent in his shot records and showed them the confirmation from the kennelwood employee, they still proceeded to ask. As promised, they sent me a text the same day of his visit! He seemed to be enjoying himself from what I could tell. When I picked him up on Friday, they gave me a "report card" of his visit, which included a ball and some of the things he did when he was there. I'm so happy Kennelwood offers this because it's a huge stress reliever for the dog parent and if it weren't a good fit, this still allows me enough time to find one that is. Thankfully, I've used them for years but have never taken advantage of this particular service. Rest assured, I'll be back next month!

He didn't go in with this problem, they never called me to tell me what happened and when I picked him up I was never Informed there was an issue. They got tear stain remover and or shampoo in his eyes and THATS how his eyes got infected!

I had started going to this vet when (after my fabulous review) my regular vet was getting so busy…read morethey could not take pets in on same day calls. So I started using RRAH because they were close and they had same day appts. They were passable. In my most recent experience, I took my dog London in for a shot for her allergies (she is so itchy, poor thing) and asked they pay special attention to her ears. They found a hematoma in her ear that they were afraid would progress into the ear canal and started hounding me about surgery. Since I was unprepared and, unfortunately, poor, I had to consider what they were asking, but they continued to hound and harass me about what I was going to do. I finally had to explain that this was a lot of money for me ($600ish) and that I would have to work on getting the funds together and get back to them. When they brought out the estimate, the tech also continued to badger me about scheduling the procedure. I also want to note that my pet had increasingly become skiddish and wary of going into this vet which was NEVER an occurrence prior. And in this case, I might understand why. From outside in the parking lot (Covid rules) I could hear my dog crying and yelping while being examined. I did get the money together and scheduled her for the procedure. She went in, got it done, and was sent home with a cone on her poor head and some medicine and warned that if she started shaking her head to contact them. What do you know, what they warned me about occurred and I contacted them immediately. Going by the timer on my phone, I was put in hold for nearly 20 minutes, when they picked up, I had a question for which they put me on hold for a little over 10 minutes. They asked me to come in and get some medicine for her. I was not informed of the price or even that there would be a price since the success of the surgery depended on her not shaking her head - and there is a medicine specifically designed for just that which, for the life of me, I cannot understand why this medicine was not sent home with London in the first place. Since no mention of cost or price was elaborated upon, we packed up (we were camping) and came straight to the vet. Luckily I had money on me because, surprise, there WAS a cost involved. A minor cost, but one that I was never made aware of. At the vet, more time on hold as I was put on hold for 8 minutes when I called upon arrival, and 3 additional minutes when I had questions. Finally this was all resolved while we sat in the parking lot and they were to bring the meds out to me (again Covid rules) after I paid, which I did. The girl handed me the bag, did not say thank you and did not express an iota of concern for my dog who was with me. If they had a problem with me, I get that, I was grumpy, but not rude. I was concerned that London was in pain and that her pain might lead to her undoing the procedure she just had. But this is a professional medical establishment and to act in that manner and not even take a GLIMPSE at my dog (no Vet contact on this at all, vet would not come to the phone, hence why all the hand offs to people who had to turn around and go back and ask them). Just here are your pills, no instructionson taking the meds, no thank you, no "aww poor thing". I have to do better for London and it starts here. No more Rock Road. They are concerned primarily with UPSELLING and high pressure sales tactics. London has been giving me clues that I have been hesitant to acknowledge until now. When I needed to find a new care giver I was concerned since she had been at the humane society twice, so I wanted the best environment I could find for her. Williamsburg was one place recommended to me. When I visited, I felt very good about the facility and people. The facility was very clean, well organized and staffed. Everyone seemed genuinely interested in the animals under their care. My dog certainly seemed to enjoy her stays (and for a time she was there more than she was at home). She came to know the staff and was always happy to see them. The staff knew her and always treated her so nicely. She was always happy to arrive and just as happy when I came home. While I no longer travel as much, Williamsburg remains the place I trust to take care of my dog. She always seems happy to see the staff and I've been very happy with the service I have received.

I took my Great Pyrenees in for a summer trim, but the outcome was not what I requested…read more Instead of a trim, her coat was shaved very short. The cut is uneven, particularly around her face, which appears choppy and not well blended. Her paws were also not cleaned up to the standard I expected. The areas of greatest concern are her armpit and belly, which were shaved extremely close. Her skin appeared irritated afterward, and there is a small area on her belly that looks consistent with a minor nick from the blade. I spoke with management to address these concerns and am currently requesting a refund based on the result and condition of the grooming. Overall, I am not satisfied with the service provided. If you have a long-haired or double-coated breed, I recommend clearly confirming grooming expectations in advance.
