Cute spot to go for a quick pick me up. I wish they were open every weekend or later in the evenings, as my schedule doesn't always allow me to grab a tasty treat. But when I have been everything was freshly made and the prices are great. It's family run and you can tell by the care and love they put into their food. The chai drink is delish - it's been my go to.

Castro's Cafe is a must try for all in Polk County. Upon entering you are greeted like family. You can see they take great pride in the cleanliness of their cafe. The Castro's special and the Cuban were delicious(highly recommend). The quesitos were light and flaky and the chai latte was great. We will be back and look forward to trying other menu items. Thank you for making us feel at home.

Great new coffee shop in Polk City! Friendly owners with great coffee, tasty tart cups, Latin pastries, homemade beautiful donuts and lunch items (which I have not yet tried). We enjoyed a hot coffee & an iced latte and some great sweets. Love that they're made in-house. Great reputation for their Cubans. Salads look scrumptious. $2 iced coffee on Mondays. Energy drink deals. Fun place to grab a bite or just to chill. (Bathrooms are in the Stella salon.) It's part of a 3 store strip. Husband/wife team. Always smiling. and working hard. Enjoy this place!

This is a new coffee shop in the neighborhood and we stopped in quick for some coffee and a breakfast sandwich. The service was good and the owner was as sweet as could be. The decor was adorable and the place was clean. There are a few tables to sit if you choose to eat in. The food was fresh and prepared quickly. We will definitely be back to try lunch.

This week they supported Relay For Life so you could get purple donuts, purple lemonade or a purple macchiato

If you're looking for the perfect cup of coffee, pastries and breakfast- look no further! Everything was super delicious and don't forget to order the infamous Cuban sandwich or Cuban sandwich salad "without the carbs"! And this family friendly cafe has the best customer service. Treat yourself to the best!!

However, due to Cindy's behavior, i stopped volunteering and visiting entirely. the lounge was once under investigation because of her behavior, and based on my experience, those concerns were valid. Cindy presents herself as compassionate, but she is manipulative, unprofessional, and often cruel. She talks badly about employees to others, slut-shames staff, dismisses sexual harassment, spreads personal and intimate information, and retaliates when employees or volunteers set boundaries. volunteers are guilt-tripped into overworking, and those who say no are treated differently. she also speaks disrespectfully about paying customers and regularly gives unsolicited medical opinions despite not being a doctor. when concerns are brought to her, she deflects blame, refuses accountability, and dismisses criticism. Cindy claims KCL is struggling due to lack of visitors, but the high prices, tense environment, overall mismanagement, and homeless camp in the parking lot may be why. i sent her a detailed message explaining my concerns; her response was dismissive and condescending, and she took no responsibility. the cats, staff, and volunteers deserve far better than this leadership.

Much to my surprise they offer so much more than that! I decided to stop in on a Sunday for a post church lunch! There was only one other family eating lunch so there multiple places to sit! Upon entrance we were automatically greeted and asked if we were dining in or takeout. Upon sitting we were given water and a menu. We ordered the Tofu ramen, breakfast sandwich, and crepes. Everything was delicious and hot. I would come here again for crepes given not a lot of locations in Lakeland offer delicious crepes! The ramen wasn't the best ramen or breakfast sandwich I have had, but for the price and quality it was good. I wouldn't say the ambiance was authentic to any culture or cuisine; however, the restaurant was very clean and professional. I would definitely dine in again and I would be intrigued to try some of their drinks they have on the menu!

You could certainly do that, don't get me wrong, but it's so much more than that! Tea Rx is actually basically a sit down restaurant that does of course serve up boba teas, along with an entire menu of food and other drinks. The menu here sports a crazy variety of items- bahn mi, rice dishes, ramen or udon, they have breakfast sandwiches and omelettes, quesadillas, and American things like burgers or a wrap. I chose to get a crepe, and it wasn't the best crepe I've had (there are some high standards there) but I still really enjoyed it. As for drinks, I thought the boba was pretty good. It was a soft and chewy texture just like it should be. Again, Tea Rx serves so much more than just this, though: they also make several types of smoothies, shakes, and even juices. This sweet little cafe really has it all. We also got the tempura shrimp appetizer and that was probably the best out of all we ordered. The shop itself is fairly small but very pleasant, and there's also outdoor seating. They'll serve you just like a sit down restaurant or you can go to the takeout register. All the workers were so smiley and friendly which makes the experience so much better. I'd probably rate them 4.5 overall, but it was positive enough to round it to 5 stars rather than down to 4. I'll definitely be coming back to try more of the vast menu!

The hours posted for Fri were right- so I popped in for a tea. Not my normal beverage but my voice has been a little horse. As she was making my tea- we were talking about the food they serve- I got the impression they make a lot of their food from scratch. She mentioned they serve Chicken and Dumplings and I told her I'd hadn't had this dish in so long- because my Mom used to make the best!! I paired my meal with the seasonal selection of matcha, the blueberry Matcha. Service was pretty quick and the food and drink were amazing. Croque Madame was cheesy and delicious with a yummy runny egg. The matcha was sweet and had the blueberry flavor from the whipped cream. The tomato soup was savory, creamy, and with tomato flavor and came with two slices of baguettes, which were great to dip up the soup.
