I have been there a number of times, mainly for shows organised by local dancing schools or theatre…read moreclubs. The King's Lynn Arts Centre is in a nice setting, near the river Ouse. Inside it feels like a small town theatre - sort of cosy. The seats are comfortable and the shows I have seen have been good. From time to time they also show movies - normally the sort you cannot see in chain cinemas so well worth looking out for.

Although quite a small museum, The Lynn Museum is more impressive than one would think. Having…read morelived in the West Norfolk area for around three years now, I'd been meaning to visit the museum for at least that long and finally did so a few weeks ago. The two staff who worked at the front desk were friendly and helpful and the exhibits were outstanding. They have recently refurbished the whole building, inside and out, and now house Sea Henge which is a series of standing tree trunks found off the coast of North Norfolk. These trunks are the main attraction of the museum, but there's also a smaller anti-room which houses some local archaeology and a brief history of the town and surrounding area. If you're a fan of archaeology and history in general then there are worse ways to spend a couple of hours. If you're not, then perhaps give it a miss and head into the shopping centre a few meters away.

As far as cinemas go the Kings Lynn Majestic is pretty run of the mill. They have recently made…read moreimprovements such as adding a bar (which is always empty) and changing the seats for better comfort. One major issue they have is the sound quality of the fims, i have been to see several films there where the dialogue is almost impossibe to hear over the sound effects. The range of films they show is poor with only the huge blockbusters making it to one of the three screens. they don't do screenings of independant for foreign films which is a real shame, and is something they should perhaps consider. i woud suggest making the extra journey to norwich or peterborough to get a proper cinema experience.
