Can't believe there aren't more ratings of this amazing place. This is a REAL "castle", with many original furnishings. Stay here and you'll be able to imagine yourself as nobility. Was owned by the Roero family (yes, the same as the name of the region) until early 2010s. Totally quiet (only I think 17 guest rooms). Absolutely stunning views of the region (Piedmont / Lange / Barolo / Barbaresco / Alba area). Gated entry only. One of the most interesting spa areas of any hotel--built off underground escape tunnel. Pool patio faces the valley view. We had lunch at the restaurant on arrival and it was so impressive we changed next day's dinner plans to eat there. Not sure if it has a Michelin star but it totally should--that level of quality and sophistication.
I would dream of staying here again. read more
