The castle is impressive, a huge structure on the mountain top. Built right out of the stone, this fortress was a critical Aragon stronghold for the Spainish Empire and was fought over for centuries. The entire old town that sits within the castles walls is a great way to see and visit this 1200 plus year old structure. Originally bulit by the Moors in the 900s on top of ancient Roman ruins this stronghold has played a part in Spanish history for thousands of years.
