This is a new winery that is owned by the same family that owns Casa Encinares. There are still a lot in the works but they have a BEAUTIFUL wine cave and tasting room. " New Winery with Great Wines and Great Potential " My wife and I visited a Winery in Mexico's Guadalupe Valley last weekend, called Casta De Vino. This winery is a new winery that is owned by the same family that owns Casa Encinares. There is still a lot in the work that needs to be done at the winery, but they have a BEAUTIFUL wine cave and tasting room. They also have an outdoor restaurant overlooking the vineyards which is gorgeous. Recently they added a Spa and Bed and Breakfast at a nearby location. Casta De Vino's wines are mostly red blends and are delicious ! Definitely go check it out when you're in Valle de Guadalupe in Mexico ! read more

A nice facility they've built here. A circular tasting room and a circular cellar below cut out of the stone below. It is run by a couple. The guy (not surprisingly) takes care of fermentation and the wife of the business end. They both speak at least some English, the wife is more fluent. The husband is so proud of his cellar that he gave us a personal tour of it. They hired a bilingual guy to serve the wines we were tasting but he was on his first day and unfortunately didn't know anything about the wines or wine in general. This is a really new wine region so you can't expect the same level of knowledge that you'd find in Sonoma or equivalent. They were decent wines, correct but not to my taste. With the exception of their chardonnay which I really liked and was pleasantly surprised (b/c of the region's brutal heat) by the fresh acidity. They had to harvest in late July to get that acidity. I got a bottle of the chardonnay to take home. They also have a restaurant on site. This place will only grow and grow. read more
