Joe's is located about 4 hours north of the Twin Cities and is located on the shores of Lake Andrusia. The nice thing about this location is the fact that Lake Andrusia is connected to Wolf and Cass Lakes all via access through the Mississippi River. If you're an outdoor person, this is the kind of place for you. Among the things that are offered in the area is: boating, fishing, jet skiing, golf, water skiing to name a few. There are plenty of winter activities offered as well if you are more of a cold weather person. Joe's itself has probably 20 or so cabins throughout the resort however my family and I have stayed in the same cabin for the last two years. Our cabin included 2 bed, 2 bath with a kitchen, dining area and living room. All cabins are equipped with satellite TV and some come with fireplaces. Definitely not roughing it when we come here. Each cabin has an outdoor fire pit so you're able to sit out at night and relive your day while enjoying a nice warm fire, if the bugs don't eat you alive. The resort also has many amenities such as volleyball courts, tennis courts, boat rentals, gift shop, and a number of water crafts (canoes and kayaks) free of charge. There are two swimming areas, one on each side of the resort. One offers a trampoline while the other offers a slide and other water games. If nature is your thing, there are plenty of trails to walk on or near this resort. You will find plenty of wild raspberries as well as plenty of deer and bald eagles. My only complaint with Joe's is their wifi connection. It is either a pay by day or a pay by week. Every time you want to connect to the net, you must sign back into their server. I would think that the wifi would be complimentary and much more convenient to use. Joe's is definitely a family destination and we have no reason we'd ever go to a different lodge. This place has it all!!

Plenty of room for a large family or family reunion. Everything is current. They keep up on maintenance so everything is in tip top shape! They truly have something for everyone! Fishing and beaches for the kids with inflatables to play for hours! They have kayaks, canoes and paddle boards. There is also coin op laundry machines so you don't have to overpack. Bait for sale, both pontoon and fishing boats for rent. Very nice gift shop with some odds and end groceries available. My family of 10 had an absolute blast and can't wait to come back next year.

We stay in a large log cabin that is fairly new and very comfortable for 6 guys. The ice fishing package includes a cabin, ice house, guiding, and fish cleaning at the end of the day. This is one of the few resorts on the lake offering this type of service. The guides spend all day on the ice looking for schools of fish. If they find a great area they will come and get you for a little ice trolling. It is a lot of fun pulling 10 perch out of a hole in 10 min. They have No bathroom in the sleeping cabin but its right across the road. They could add a mirror in the cabin. Not a huge deal but it would have been helpful. The staff was amazing!! They have bingo and different nighty events. It's feels like a little community. We didn't see any beach area but we didn't have much can time to explore. Totally worth the 80 dollars to not sleep in a tent!

Categorically speaking: Location: 5 out of 5 I imagine that if I were a student at BSU, this would be a great place to host some picnics or events. It's close to the campus and there's lots of free parking on premises. Amenities: 4 out of 5 This city park was really nice - there were some recent storms that had damaged one of the gazebo/pavilion type structures, but I imagine that once that debris is cleared away, it would be quite pleasant to host a covered picnic there. There are clean restroom facilities onsite, and several more uncovered picnic table areas in addition to the gazebo/pavilion area that I think is available to rent. Vending machines are available, as is a little facility on the water that rents out paddleboards and bikes. There is a swimming area (no lifeguards though), and some modern playground structures that looked like they were getting good use. There's a main building by the entrance, but I'm not entirely certain what's in there since I didn't go up that way. There are lots of chairs and benches by the waterfront, and once you settle into one of them - it'll be hard to get up and leave. I recall most of the walking trail along the waterfront to be paved, but there might be one section towards the "tip" of the diamond where it's gravel. Lots of open grassy areas exist, so families wanting to play whiffleball, soccer, etc. should be fine. They have horseshoe pits set up with the stakes, which was a nice touch. Scenery: 4 out of 5 The park itself is beautiful, and surrounded by Lake Bemidji - made for a very picturesque setting. It won't blow you away like, "Wow, this is totally awesome!" but again - it is very pretty. When you look out across the park and see people paddleboarding on the water, it's a fun sight. . Overall: 4 out of 5 Great location and great amenities should provide you and your family with full days of fun. This would be my "go to" park if I lived or went to school in the area.

We sat ourselves and the server behind the bar came around, greeted us and took our drink orders. My husband asked if he could order a Walleye filet and they accommodated; he got mashed potatoes and salad for his sides. I ordered The Mayor salad (truly enough food for two) The Walleye was cooked perfectly, and it was delicious. My husband asked for them to heat up the potatoes, unfortunately they were luke warm at best. My salad was a large salad topped with brisket, smoked turkey, bacon and a chicken wing. My husband and I split the chicken wing, it was crispy, but almost too crispy. In the fryer a bit too long. The brisket was a bit dry, but the smoked turkey was perfect. There were two hard boiled eggs, so if you are eating just protein and vegetables this is is your order. There were a lot of jalapenos on it, and lots of crisp greens. I would order it again, but most likely split it with someone. The service was great. While we were there it was getting crowded. This was the second restaurant that we went to where there was only one person taking orders. Fortunately, she had someone running the food out because she was also tending bar, along with the food runner. have been coming to this course when visiting the cabin for many years and this is the worst…read morecondition it has ever been in. The worst part about this course is that they are charging $59 per person to play 18 holes with a cart. I wouldn't even pay $20 to play this course if I had the opportunity to again. Everything about the course is in bad condition. There's missing grass spots on the Teebox is the fairways have weeds all over the place and the greens are in the worst condition I've ever seen. I would never recommend anybody to come play this course for the price they currently have and the condition it is currently in. also it doesn't seem like the greens and then mowed in days. I work in golf course maintenance and greens are supposed to be mowed every morning and these greens are longer than I've ever seen
